I recently had occasion to use a Kodak SLR/c for the first time. My regular camera is a Canon 5D. Going to the Kodak from the Canon initially wasn't satisfying or inviting. The Kodak is slow to turn on, slow to write files and in general feels somewhat clunky. The LCD is practically useless for reviewing shots as it has little to no color or contrast accuracy. It's fine, though, for checking the histogram. It's when one finally gets to viewing the files on a computer that one realizes what ...

I am writing this in mid-2007. The image quality produced by my SLR/c is, still, stunning enough to keep it going this many years after its introduction. The resolution and colors are just gorgeous. Image quality suffers terribly at very high ISO's, to the point that the image is no longer useable. Very good if at times quirky camera. The best full frame digital for wide angle lenses at the time of writing. Excellent colour. Amazing Resolution. The only digital SLR I would use for landscape work (at time of writing). Problems: To me its a 160-320 ASA camera. Too noisy used over 320 ASA in my view. I've had a couple of strange corruptions of cards when the battery is low.
