I have owned it for 2 years and always get great shots with it but I shoot alot of kids sports and this is not the best camera for that application. The Ultra-zoom lens is fabulous for getting full frame shots of the batters in the box from the center field bleachers. The fast burst mode is great for little league swings, and the HD video is pretty good for a rather inexpensive camera. I would consider my self a serious amateur landscape photographer. I bought my Kodak EasyShare Z990 last spring mainly because of its Schneider-Kreuznach lens. It took great pictures. I liked its video feature better than my Canon Power Shot SX30is. What I remember most was when I went to Edwards AFB to watch the Endeavour return to LA piggyback on a 747. I had the Z990 on a tripod videoing and I was hand holding my SX30is for stills. I also had my Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ28 as backup. ...

I am doing many photographs in the open air - I am practising the tourism:) I think that Z990 is perfect apparatus to it:) I recommend - really it is worthwhile! Problems: he is a bit slow
