Opinion: I purchased this camera after my Pentax Optio 50 produced so terrible video clips and these were selling for 100 CAD in Jan. 2011 here. Also, the reviews were not too bad either. I am very happy with the pictures and features, specially the histogram if you need to use manual settings. Pictures and videos are surprisingly good.

Problems: Video clips. They come in Quick Time and the .mov’s are so large that I can’t easily share it with anyone. Even in lower resolution 320x240 the 30 sec. clip is 39MB, that’s about 10x larger than it should be. I don’t think the converter can reduce it so much, so I’ll have to return it, regrettably.
I would give 4.5 stars but give 4 because of this.

Opinion: if you are new to digital camera's or a slightly more experienced camera user like me (the z915 is camera #4) and are looking for a camera with long zoom (5-10x optical) & optical image stabilization, the z915 wont disappoint for the price of $200 CAD/CDN.

the camera works on AA batteries as well as NiMH batteries, which is good if you are in a pinch...

the z915 starts up quickly and is quite responsive during operation

for those interested in video, the z915 does capture video (max resolution: 640x480 30 FPS, NTSC or PAL), though not in HD like newer cameras, but the video quallty is very good, however the sound recorded is only quiet on camera, if the video (.mov) is played on a computer, it is fine...

Problems: Needed to replace my memory card with a high speed one as the camerra would not save pics to it...

I have notified kodak about the issue, though since my new card is working i am not too concerned anymore...

Opinion: This Camera is a joy to use but much like the Lumix the ISO is only good at the lowest ISO setting.

Great response times fast shutter

Great long shot images in Optical but slow focus, but when focused great pictures

Recommend for all buyers but mainly budget buyer!

Problems: Short Battery life with NiHm

Bad ISO at 200+ settings

Image gets less for ISO

Opinion: some retail store chain offered me this camera at a very reasonably cheap price because markets do not buy kodak any more, and i got it.i returned it,when i became to know that there are several latest high tech cameras has just arrived in the market with a blaze of glory.but i returned them too just because of image quality, image stabilization even at 10x,holding,solid design, flash, colors, low light and some more features of KODAk Z 915.The camera which won many remarkably very good positions among high prices and high tech cameras. To begin DSLR photography and to understand the manual photography,KODAK z 915 is the best choice with shutter, aperture,Exposure compensations and colors choices.Go ahead.every one who is keen, must have this camera just beside other expensive models. An excellent choice for professional photographers if DSLR for some reason does not solve the purpose.GO ahead 5 stars from me.I have an album " Kodak Z 915 "with out touch of any photo tools.Check it out

Problems: For the feature to price ratio, none.

Opinion: I have owned a lot of digital cameras in the last ten years (more than I care to
remember). Many of those are DSLRs. I would consider this to be one of the best
cameras I have I owned. It is a joy to use. Feels very sturdy and robust. Ergonomic
layout is fantastic. Images it produces are superb. 1600iso is not really useable but
for a digital compact ISO performance is very impressive. The price is unbelievably
low. You get much more than what you pay for. This is the camera I am most likely
to throw into my pocket. In fact I hate leaving it behind. This camera reminds me
that Kodak have been making cameras for a hundred years.

Problems: Just a few quibbles, not problems really.

It would have been nice if a there was a viewfinder
On/off switch is a little too close to selector dial

Opinion: I bought this when I decided to get back into photography after several years off.

It has a good focal range (although something a little wider would be preferred) and the user interface is outstanding.

The EasyShare software (not the camera's fault) could offer some more options, but it's generally pretty good.

Size is perfect for carrying around.

I did invest in an after-market shade for the view screen since it's almost impossible to see in bright light without some assistance.

Problems: No mechanical or optical problems.
