Opinion: I bought this for its zoom, its manual controls and its nice price. After 10k+ clicks, I can say that this camera does what its supposed to do, that is it does take nice pictures at least when you make sure it will.
If you are a beginner that wants something to take you to the next level, you can trust this camera. It will not let you down for the biggest part of your "relationship". If you need a gadget-like camera pls look elsewhere...

Problems: Most annoying thing is the ridiculous compression! 8mpx file rarely over 2mb's, most pics end up around 1-1,5 mb's!

Also, the camera is rather slow to get the job done, waiting time untill it empties its buffer can be a pain sometimes, no RAW files to compensate for the extreme compression of the JPEG's :(

Opinion: A great camera. Photos of a quality far above the Canon PowerShot S5 IS. I recommended with KLIC-8000 batteries.

Problems: A little slow.
Lack of manual focus.

Opinion: Fast focus. Responsive operation. Video quality is quite good. Love its low-key appearance and design.

International Consumer Research & Testing had this camera tested in Germany and gave its battery performance just one-star out of five.

Opinion: Outstanding picture quality for a camera that has a $159 price tag USD.
12 X optical zoom and anti-shake are outstanding on this camera.
All pictures expose well outside and the camera has more than enough features to make it a simple P&S or use with full manual control.

Problems: Flash pops up at power on. Simply push it down if you don't wish to utilize.

Opinion: good build quality, good image quality, excellent power options, good features, almost my ideal cam.

Problems: flash pops up all the time, if you dont take lens cap off lens will move out and push cap off at power on, when batteries low unit just shuts off, no warning.
