Opinion: Nice image stabilizer, as well as a good LCD display.
Overall image is fair, with a color rendition more than enough for amateur user.
Problems: Low battery life. It needs a lens hood (not avaiable as far as I know) to avoid lack of contrast in certain sun light conditions. Vrey small size, not adequated for those with big hands.
Opinion: i LOVE this camera - it is easy to use - the photos are beautiful. The ONLY drawback is that it doesn't take the flat rectangular rechargable batteries. The initial output in cost for a recharging battery is high, but the battery that came with the camera held its life for quite a while.
HIGHLY recommend this camera!
Problems: Memory door appears week. Hope to use use the USB cable/cradle connection instead of pulling memory in and out.
Battery door is OK but would say take your time when opening and closing it.
Only uses two batteries so keep extras around and/or charged.
Batteries need to be almost new to work. Comes with Li battery pack
Opinion: Looked good so far. Charging bats now to get pics transfered to computer.
Good camera overall. I has a lot of setting and taking some time to learn them is worth it. Did OK when it comes to astro/star pics.
Movie mode can be noise but does work under low light.
Problems: Needs hi energy batts. Look into rechargeable lithium.

Star/astro pics are noise above 200 ASA. ASA can be set manual
Focus can be fooled on moon shots. Has manual focus so there is a work around. Moon shots may be over exposed too but can be compensated with manual mode.
Skin tones off when flash is used indoors.
Opinion: I really like this camera. The only complaints I have are that pictures at ISO over 400 are too noisy for my taste. Also I prefer a hard plastic cover for the USB port than the soft rubber one.

Opinion: Very user friendly. Lots of very accessible and easy to use adjustments. Easy to take very good pictures. Excellent color. Very good detail. Focuses fast and accurately. Very good low light performance. Effective optical stabilization.
Problems: Not a problem, but I wish the maximum quality/size setting was a bit less compressed.
My problem is why some people get to vote twice on these camera opinions, especially when they haven't learned how to use the camera properly and are only here to ask questions about the camera and then downgrade the camera because of their ignorance and not the camera's shortcomings.
Opinion: The picture quality is excellent. Photos are crisp with detail and color, with both indoor/flash and outdoor/natural light. I highly recommend this camera for anyone who is looking for a point and shoot with all the bells and whistles.
Problems: The camera body is to smooth of a finish. Needs more textured gripping on the body for more of a secure feel when handling it.

and in menu the manual focus is for use
also in video mode you can zoom in zoom out
Problems: no digital zoom on video
