Opinion: Wow...
Opinion: generally good camera.
pros: good image quality
ease of use
stabilizer
powerful flash
speed to make new photos (abt 20 photos in 30 seconds in normal conditions)
sufficient viewfinder, good dispaly
cons:
useless 12x tele, which makes camera too thick
relatively "cheap" finishing
low quality (non-scientific test) of photos in low light (Iso 400)
few photos in high light (snow) seem to show excess of contrast
Opinion: All the features I need as an amateur. Excellent imagery with minimal distortion. The 12x zoom with I.S. was flawless. I bought this camera before a trip to France and everyone raves about the quality of the photos. The Series 3 docking system was the perfect compliment. I only use a few shots at a time and the cost to print was very comparable. I'm as pleased as a pig in poop with the value. I ended up loaning out my Canon as the lesser value.
Problems: I did have some issues with long night exposures, but I know better than to free hand these so I don't fault the camera. I only wish it were available for AA batteries. That is my principle complaint.
Opinion: I don't print much, most of my photos are online use so my image quality is awesome with this camera. I just love it. Very easy to use.
Problems: The only problem I have had is after downloading the SD disk to my computer it came up that the SD needed reformatting. That gave me a bit of trouble. That was only one time, hasn't happened again.
