11.1 megapixels | 3" screen | 37 – 111 mm (3×)

Kodak's premium V series compacts offer large high resolution touch-screen displays, image stabilization and lots of funky features (though the 3x zoom has no real wide angle). The V1073 and V1273 (which adds a couple more megapixels) are good value for the gadget lover looking for a feature-rich pocket-sized camera.

Opinion: This camera was very disappointing. I have never owned a Kodak before but heard good things. The picture quality was not up to my three year old canon. The smart feature that supposedly sets everything for you in any setting was a joke. My walls went from light tan to green taking pictures with that setting. The kodak setting for fixing pictures is supposed to remove red eye. It didn't remove red eye from about 75% of the pictures 25% is not okay. You can hear the zoom clicking during movies as well.

Problems: I returned the camera a week later. I will keep shopping but Kodak will not be on my list.

Opinion: Previous user does not know how to use this camera.
Traveling in Slovakia and Austria now and it is taking
excellent shots indoors and out. No flash needed indoors
most of the time. The colors are just great.
Please read the instruction book.

Problems: No problems.

Opinion: What was Kodak thinking with this camera? You can't see the LCD screen outdoors. There is no battery indicator. Just a warning just before it goes dead. The screen isn't too good for reviewing photos. The sound quality in video mode is terrible. Despite all this, the outdoor photo quality is great (although you can't see what your shooting). Indoor quality isn't bad either. Menus are confusing. If you want to watch your videos on HD TV you have to shell out lots of money for their dock station. I got this camera really cheap after a rebate otherwise I'd have returned it.

Opinion: - Very good image and hd-video quality (with optical stabilisation, zooming and focussing!)
- "Big" sensor with "only" 10MP (despite very compact)
- Low high ISO noise, good sharpness, really not far from a Fuji F11 (I have)
- Lot´s of nice features (rotating sensor, panorama stitch, 3" touch srceen, formats 3:2, 16:9, metal tripoid, tags, pp, etc.)
- Nice design, feel quality

Problems: - Bad screen in bright light
- Macro only up to 5"
- Not great battery life
