Opinion: Very Happy! fast focus, tons of features, solid built, very good picture quality, what else would you ask for!

Opinion: This Camera is very easy to use and it has tons of features. what I like about it the most is the Ponorama Capture mode, which let you compine 3 captured photos in one picture by attaching them togother to provide a very wide picture. Comparing the price with features it has, the price is very good.

Opinion: Loving the P712, especially like how quickly and accurately it focuses (faster than my DX6490 on first AF attempt), comfortable to hold, love the position of the on/off switch and that the SCN selection is independent of the on/off, which too is nice!

Thus far (3 days), I've taken about 50 shots - several more challenging than normal, all results as good or better than expected.

Orientation feature caused me some concern as it caused long shot to shot delay - the camera takes time to process the image. I found a work around-set this feature to rotate "on transfer - or off" solves the problem.

Especially happy that my 6490 batteries, charger and dock (with adapter) work with this new model.

Best price and return policy I could find was at Wal-mart web site.

Opinion: This camera is great. I upgraded from the P850 and the AF is fantastic. I especially love the Panorama feature as well as the variety of SCN Modes to chose, not to mention the 12x the optical zoom. I have had this for two weeks and my pictures are spectacular thanks to the Kodak partnership with Schneider-Krueznack, Color processing chip, and the 7.1 mp. My pictures are crisp, clear, and true to color. The menu is very easy to use as well as transfering pictures to your computer or just viewing on the TV. I am extrememly happy with this camera
