Opinion: The colors are great and the 10 optical is just what I wanted. The battery life is more than I expected.
Whats nice, the instructions are easy to read and
follow. Light weight and big in features.
Opinion: This camera is an verry good camera.
its fast in good light.
No problems in low light but the focus is slower.
The Awb balange is verry nice cover almost every situation.
even at low light or ambient light.
if you want to take pictures from sunsets I recoment to set the awb in sun and not in awb becouse its filter the red and blue normalee found in sunsets.
the lens is verry usefull but at the max you need to use high shutter speed(there is no stabilisation in the lens)
the pictures are in the normal sharpness setting a little to soft,
afcours you can sharpen them in adobe or somtinge els.
or set the sharpness to high ,but then you created alot of halos in your pictures.only visible at 100 %
If you print large it will be visible in your pictures
I have seen from other peaple some have problems to get an sharp picture indoor without flash, there is an firmware update for this problem at the kodak website.
The pictures from this camera are verry good for its prize
there is an verry good macro on board ,
its an easy camera to use with alot of manuel settings.
in advanged mode.
easy to take where ever you go.
the batery life if verry good but the sharge time is around 3 hour to full load.
abit slow for an fast resharger.
I have taken 220 pictures in an afternoon leaving the camera on all the time I thid not use the LCD monitor only for preview my pictures.
In bad wether there is some problem at the max lens rate.you need an statief handhold is almost not possible.
the pictures look kodak I mean I have not seen other camera's with this sort of pictures.
A little to red in some pictures some other are then again good.
wierd I think the awb can do somtimes wierd.
Speed of the camera is not thad bad.
zoom is good.
focus is good.
startup not the fasted I seen around 3 sec but as i said before, i leave the camera on
its shut down after one minut but pressing an button.
the camera is instand raidy.
I have print some foto's and I must say the look verry good.
so wat can I say.
Its an good camera but you need some patient to learn how to use it.
expecial in low light at the max zoom you need some practice.

Problems: No problems found so far.
Opinion: 380 pics - disapointed
Problems: to heavy, no IS, soft pics, lack of sharpness, no detail, very very very slow...
Opinion: Anyone who wants to take pictures with fine detail should stay away from this camera. Close-ups of birds look like they just came out of an oil slick and flowers look like they were sand-blasted and have no surface detail. The Z740, on the other hand, has a lot of fine detail, focuses quickly and accurately.
