Opinion: Was bought this camera for Xmas 2004. Had it for a year. Not a bad beginners camera, a little slow on processing pictures, picture quality just ok. Nice to have manual shutter control and aperture control

Problems: - A bit on the bulky side
- Average picture quality
- Bit sluggish in image processing

Opinion: This is my second digital camera. Although it is larger than others it is a great camera. This would be a great camera for those new to digital photography. Coupled with the docking station and rechargeable batteries downloading pictuures to your computer is a breeze.

Opinion: This camera was good (for a low/middle range camera) when it worked. I also bought a Kodak Easyshare Dock, but I don't like the fact that you can only use Kodak Rechargeable batteries with it, forcing you to pay top dollar for a 'Kodak' battery, as they have a non-removable clip on the battery that makes it charge with the dock.

I got fed up with the problems (4 warranty claims: 1 x DX4330 camera, 2 x DX6340 cameras), so have sought a refund. Ended up buying a Nikon Coolpix 5700, after reading it's reviews on this website & based on great reviews from 2 friends whom have them.

I'll never buy a Kodak camera again, for more details see:
www.notgoodenough.org -> Gripe HQ -> Electrical Appliances -> Kodak Camera(s) 4th fault - Warranty Refund Dispute (http://www.notgoodenough.org/viewtopic.php?t=21846&sid=bb3260986e6461a7bbb4b1c88659db70).

Australians: after a bit of research & advice from friends, I found these links for cheap Australian camera suppliers:
* www.dirtcheapcameras.com.au
* www.camerastore.com.au
* www.ausprices.com.au

Problems: * intermittent power-up problems, then permanently wouldn't power-up.
* battery charging problems (2 new Kodak batteries failed after less than 20 recharges each & Kodak say they aren't covered under warranty, even though their website says they last up to 1000 recharges)
* inability to use red-eye reduction with all flash options
* can't use generic brand rechargeable batteries with it's Easyshare Dock.

Opinion: Had it 6 months now (600 pics?) Small enough for a jacket pocket. Excellent flash - non-flash very low light pics not so great. 4x zoom an advantage over all those 3x rivals. Batteries last for ever if you use the viewfinder mostly (I got NiMH rechargeables but LiIon one-shots would do). Really easy to use. 1.8" screen good. Images good for 3MP, quite saturated (warmer than on my daughter's Casio Z40). 7.5x5" prints (3:2 ratio option on the camera) are excellent. Takes 300 pics on a 256Mb SD card. Movies jerky but can be fun and are limited only by the card size. A great camera for the price (GBP140 at amazon UK). I gave away my Pentax 35mm compact zoom but will keep the Nikon F55 (35mm SLR) for best.
Don't bother with the Kodak docking station (a cheap SD USB card reader is much simpler) or Kodak software (anything else is preferable - I use Serif PhotoPlus 8 for editing pics and MS Office Picture Manager for discarding rejects).

Problems: None except sometimes the lens cover needs nudging to open fully.

Opinion: This is my 4th Digital Camera and I've had it 10 months.
Overall a very easy and good camera to use. Autofocus and flash are one of the best I've used. Excellent low light focusing and great flash range. Pictures are typical Kodak Oversaturated Colors and Not quite sharply focused
because of Kodak's Color Science no compression, contrast, color or sharpness controls. 4X zoom lens is excellent and camera performs well, still like the photos produced but would enjoy more control over shots. Bought the Easyshare Dock with the rechargeable batteries works great batteries seem to last forever, even after low battery warning. Overall Recommend Camera to anyone who wants ease of use and good pics. If your really picky about pic quality don't buy this camera.

Problems: Kodak Software is awful. DON"T USE IT!!!!!!
Get the dock or use a card reader. I've never had problems with the Battery or Card Door, but they are only cheap part of camera so take care opening/closing.

Opinion: An Excellent camera. I got the camera based on the features and the 4x optical zoom, which gives the user a little bit more zoom than a 3x optical.

Great Point and shoot camera. The best thing is that it still have some manual controls for the user to use. Very userfriendly, easy to use and good menus, good LCD screen.

I have had this camera for over 9 months now, taken over 3000 photos with it. Very Happy with it.

Problems: None.

Opinion: An excellent Camera. I just pop it into my pocket and go out to take photographs.

Very pleased with the results both indoors and out.

Easy to use, but avoid the software, I would recommend buying a card reader and using that, much easier.

Problems: None at all.

Opinion: Fairly Simpe and not too much else.

Problems: OK #1 the software that comes with this camera is awful. (gave it a 1 star because of this) I advise anyone who is thinking about buying this camera to reconsider. The software has been nothing but a hassle from the get go. I hope that in the future Kodak steps up to take charge with this issue. The software that came with my dad's Canon was great in comparison. (A70)
Another issue witht eh camera is that every once in a while it spits out a blurry photo for no apparent reason.

Opinion: I got this camera because it is the only pocketable 4x zoom and of course great reviews. I find the camera takes very consistent pictures indoors & out. The autofocus is normally fast plus decent in low light and the
shot lag time is very quick so I disagree with others who found it otherwise. My Olympus D-520 was much slower for both focus and lag. The flash is above average for a point & shoot and recycles fast. The viewfinder is diopter adjustable but has a vertical parallax problem of not showing enough of the top of the photo so I try to set the scene with 10% of the top removed to compensate.
The camera has very adequate features of aperature and shutter priority, spot meter and spot focus, and ISO 400.
Battery life is superb with 2 NiMH AA's. You could get probably 1000 shots on the lithium CR2 it comes with as an option too. I do not like the Kodak software so I use my Olympus software 1.2 & 4.0 and ACDsee primarily. You could also get MSN Picture It or Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0, either of which will be superior to most included camera bundles and are $50 or less. I spent very little time with the Kodak software so know little but a decent thing it does is remove redeye fairly easily but otherwise is a pain.

Problems: The Kodak software is not as good as others so other
software is recoommended
