Opinion: I upgraded from a DC280 Kodak, which i enjoyed very much. My wife's 35mm broke so i gave it to her. I purchased the Dx6340 Kodak camera and so far I love it.
4X zoom and focus is great. The shutter spead is better than i thought it would be. The video mode is not what i expected but hey, I bought it for photo's not video.

Problems: So far i've had no problems with this camera.

Opinion: So far, so good. I do wish it was a bit lighter and smaller. But you can't have everything. Good pictures. Good shutter response. Nice controls, easy to use. Windows XP makes downloading pics a breeze. Who needs to install the software?

Problems: none

Opinion: I brought the camera two days ago, and I find it is great. The batteries life is ok with the rechargeble battery.

Problems: Don't like the Kodak software

Opinion: New owner of this camera, and new to digital cameras. Chose the DX6340 'cause I have bad eyesight and it has a small adjustment screw (called a Diopter dial - which isn't easy to adjust but shouldn't need adjustment often) which helps me use the viewfinder without glasses. Also, when spinning the wheel to chose modes (ie:sport/nite/portrait/video-audio etc) the mode also appears in the camera screen - again, helpful if you have poor eyesight and reading the dials is difficult. As to batteries: my camera came with CRV3 lithium battery (says will take 450 pictures in manual) but manual also says can use other batteries incuding 2 AA Lithium batterie (320 pictures) or AA Ni-MH recahargeable batteries (180 pictures per charge). Not sure how long they'll really go; how often you have the camera screen turned on (to review photos, mess with menus etc) affects the longevity. Shopping Note: If you're looking at any new camera, I found Target (and probably others) has a nice policy, you can pull out a couple of models and use them literally side-by-side to take photos in the store and see what you think. I can't imagine chosing a camera that you've tested while it's attached with those obnoxious security wires they use in many stores.

Problems: Haven't had the camera or used the functions long enough to fairly rate or note problems. Will try to update.
