Opinion: I bought this camera used from a pawn shop. My second digital experience. I have done professional photography for over 15 years and just recently got into digital and have to say for the price I paid it's is a very good experience. I have had this camera now for almost 2 years and use it for vacation pics and at work for taking pics of recently vacated apartments to be stored on a CD for damage charges proof.

Problems: So far I have had no problems at all. I say that this is for sure an excellent P and S camera even being 4 years old.

Opinion: I have owned this camera for almost two years, and it has held up remarkably well! This camera is very basic which is great for a beginner, but not worth the money for an amateur or higher. I have dropped this camera onto wood and cement several times, and it is none the worse for wear. I know that there are better cameras for beginners as far as features, pixels, and zoom go, but if you are looking for a camera that will withstand the elements well, and you don't care too much about features, this one is a good choice.

Problems: Some problems that I have had, are that the camera sometimes freezes up after you have taken several pictures very quickly one after the other. Also, the position of the on/off button is sort of awkward. The memory card is also very large and doesn't compare at all to an xD picture card or the like.

Opinion: This is a good little point and shoot camera. I was quite surprised at the clarity and quality of the prints- the colors were very good and images were sharp. Flash isn't great but its fine for this type of camera.

It's a great little pocket camera with easy to use options and good software.

Problems: No optical zoom and we all know that digital zoom means little.

Opinion: I like this camera! I hear a lot of folks talking about having dark pictures indoors, but I haven't had any problems. Understanding that any camera has limits may be a factor and knowing how to take a good picture also helps. All of my pictures have turned out great. The clarity has been significantly greater than any other picture I've taken with any other camera. It is so easy to download and use. I have my own personal camera and liked it so much, I had the Security Department that I'm in charge of purchase one as well. We use it all the time to photograph evidence - and details are a must!

Problems: The battery pack that came with the camera lasts for a LONG time! However, the battery pack that you HAVE to use with the Camera Dock, does NOT last long at all. We did lose quite a few shots on our last trip because we had forgotten the camera dock.

Opinion: The DX3500 is good value for money and extremely easy to use and download.

I am however disappointed in the flash for indoor pictures; I have brighten most of my flash pictures in the software to the max available.

I also find the LCD display almost useless to review pictures outside on a sunny day.

Opinion: I was not at all satisfied with this camara, most of the pictures were blurry and the zoom does not work too well. Also this camera is too big and bulky...I am young and it does not fit in my purse at all...

Opinion: Very good camera for photos taken outside in bright sunshine. Not so good inside with flash.

From camera turn on, I have to wait almost 10 seconds before being able to take the first picture. I use a 128Mbyte compact flash. Delay possibly longer with a larger compact flash ?

Very easy to use. Nice menu system. Excellent battery life from just two NiMH AAs (approx. 250 shots).

Problems: Time taken to take first photo after power up is excessive. Noiticable delay in taking photo after pressing 'shutter'. No good for fast moving objects.
