Opinion: A nice little entry level digital. usb port software is incredibly easy to use. While other digitals suck battery power, I found this unit to last much longer than expected on the provided lithium battery (so far four solid days and going strong) and to find a digital that offers BOTH optical and digital zoom for under 200 bucks..this is the only one.
Problems: did lock up on one shot when pressed button too fast.
Opinion: Pretty darn pleased! Had recently bought the HP 215, and quite frankly, it sucked. Bought this one as it was slightly cheaper than Sony's cheapest, and I'm quite pleased.
A good buy! Definitely recommended to any beginner camera user.
Problems: Software was a pain to install, and is fairly basic.
Opinion: Just bought it last Saturday at the FutureShop for $299 CAD and they are giving you a 16Mb memory card with it free (for a total of 24Mb)! The camera was easy to use and much better than the old 4Mb/Serial version that it replaced (and it was $150CAD less than the older version). I highly recommend it to any beginners looking for a quality camera at a low price.
Opinion: hi, i just purchased this camera today - and for a basic beginner the pictures are surprisingly good.
the optical and digital zoom are a nice touch and the internal 8 mb of memory is rather nice also. all in all a nice camera for the price.
Problems: the software totally sucks - a pain to install and then it is very, very basic. another little feature i really don't like: the on/of power button. too small and very slow.
