Kodak EasyShare CX4200

Opinion: Overall, great camera. First digital so no comparison with other cameras. Easy to understand directions and use.

Opinion: this has got to be one of the worst cameras. overall, i would say this camera is actually okay for what it is. it gives decent pictures, the software it comes with is easy to use, and the ease of use is okay.

however the battery life is UNBELIEVABLY short. after you take two pictures, it's out of batteries. whether it's the rechargable ones that it comes with (which by the way i have replaced and it doesn't help) or AA batteries you have bought yourself, the camera is useless after 2 pictures. i've had to bring 3 extra changes of batteries if i go to a party, and even then, i'm finding myself with maybe 10 total pictures after the night. what's the point of a camera if you can't use it?

the other thing is that it takes forever to startup. if i want to take a picture, i have to press the on button and wait 10 seconds for the camera to startup. not very useful when something quick is happening and i'm struggling to quickly use my camera.

Opinion: I think if your problems with the camera's batteries were THAT bad, something was wrong with that individual camera. I have the same camera and have found that for the money it has done everything i have expected. It has been a wonderful camera and am now devout to kodak.

Opinion: I got this camera about 4 years ago. It has great ergonomics and the picture quality is good. It's also very easy to use. There's really nothing to complain about. Although I have decided to move on to more advanced cameras, this one serves its purpose well.
