Problems: I've purchased a C763 last february. It worked fine until one day in june, when I was returning from a trip. I turned it on to take some pictures from the airplane window and it fell down from a chair on a carpeted floor when I placed it over a chair and the lens tube crooked. I took it to an authorized repair shop and realized this was off-warranty. OK.
As warranty wouldn't cover the damage I took it somewhere else that charged me less to fix my camera and it returned OK. After a month or so, the camera simply went dead, out of the blue, despite the fact I was being over-protective not to let anything bad happen to it. At the repair shop I was told there's a problem with some main circuit and it was gone for good.
I'm very upset. I had a few doubts about buying a Kodak product because they're always on a "best buy" sale here in Brazil. I took a chance and now I realize Kodak's digital products are TOO fragile. I have a Nokia cell phone that has fallen more than once on hard floor from my hands and still works perfectly well and takes great pictures. I'm writing this out of frustation because now I have to go out and buy a new camera. And I have to tell you: no more Kodak!!
