Opinion: I bought the Kodak C433 to document the jobs I was doing at work so I was looking for a cheap camera with decent performance. It was the less expansive camera I found with optical 3X zoom instead of fixed 35mm lens. The C433 is very easy to use since it's a P&S with very few option to choose to modify your shots (and almost all buried inside the menu), it's not a big issue since it's clearly an entry level aimed at beginners. Flash behaviour has a didicated button and it's immediate to set the exposure compensation with left-right keys on the joypad.
LCD display works fine to frame the shot but it's little and not so bright, it's better to see pics on the PC. I rate batteries life as average (2 cheap 2100mAh NiMH accumulators), there's no the button to turn off the LCD display.
Having only a 4MP sensor even a 256MB SD memory seems almost infinite, that's a plus: more usefull storage space, not useless megapixels!
Image quality is average, I do not expect miracles and I'm not disappointed. Some focusing issue every once in while but that's common with others cameras I've used.
Operating the camera shows no noticeable slowness in normal conditions but it's not the camera for you if you need to shot pics at a fast pace.
For dimensions and weight can be carryed around with ease.
Problems: - At full wide angle corners show a bit of softness, not dramatic though...
- After every shot it's need to press the shutter button half way to take another shot quickly, the previous pics stay on the display for some seconds with a description of the scene mode you're in. Annoying...
- Occasionally I've found some banding on pics: it shows up on the display so taking another shot eliminate the problem
