Opinion: Good, basic camera for a novice or someone who wants the camera to do the work for them. I was a bit disappointed after a while of using this camera. I was looking for better zoom and more MP's in a more compact design than my previous Kodak, an early 2 mp DX model. The zoom is great (15x total), and there are a few extra features not found on comprable models such as crop on camera. Overall, for the price (250) I probably could have done better and should have. Not a bad camera, though, and I am just waiting for something to break on it so I can replace it now.
Problems: Mostly plastic=lightweight, but calls into question durability.
LCD viewer is small, and not as good quality as others I've seen.
Battery door is flimsy and threatens to come off at each battery change. Use Lithium type batteries or you will be replacing every 100 pics.
Paid too much for such a basically designed camera.
Opinion: I am very impressed with this camera. The picture quality is great for a point and shoot camera. For examples see http://www.pbase.com/loraine/c340
Opinion: I'm a Nikon D50 owner and I wanted to purchase a little camera point&shot for daily photos.
I didn't believe to the quality of this little camera.
It's a little gem.
