HP Photosmart C500

For outside use the camera is second to none come indoors and drop all hope of any quality as the iso setting is only 80 so forget about low level lighting! If you use the flash it will take adequate for the small flash but I had hoped that it would work as well as its small brother.. The C200 is far superior in its lighting than its bigger brother C500 however the quality is not as good! Also be prepared to have a Rambo style battery belt pack as it chews up batteries like it is going out ...

The Camera Works Great, Is a lot clearer now that I have installed the firmware upgrade, it made a huge difference in image quality. I have compared it to my dads kodak dc215 and the hp 315 has slightly better color and the pictures are sharper. I run all my pictures full screen 17 monitor and the images are almost flawless. C'ant beat it for the price. Problems: Can only put 10 pics on 8mb fc in hires mode so I purchased a 32 mb card

Heavy, bulky camera. Image quality is ok but nothing great. I think the white balance and color saturation could be better. The Digita operating system is easy to use and understand. LCD is dark and not a full 30 fps so images seem jittery when you use the LCD to frame the subject. 38-155mm lens seems too narrow, I would like to see 28mm to be able to get more information into the shot not less.
