Opinion: Very easy to use. Instruction book is simple. This is a very reciently released camara. Not much info to research. Impression is that it's a good deal.
Problems: Software gives error and asks to reload. Open lens cover before pluggin in USB solves the problem. Expect to see a patch in the near future.
Opinion: I chose this unit after a side-by-side comparison with the Canon S10. It was very close in sharpness and superior in color fidelity. That it takes ordinary AA's is another plus (NiMH's work fine). It's small and light. About 100 shots so far on one charge with substantial LCD usage. IR link works great with Photosmart printer. Lack of optical zoom and few manual controls are only drawbacks. Very easy to use.
Opinion: I've had the C315 for two weeks now and it's been great. The HP software has been the easiest photo software I've seen. The camera itself is incredibly easy to use, true it's not the most glamorous camera out there, but the price was right and the pictures have been excellent. I've taken some shots on medium resolution and printed them off onto my Dekjet 810C and you'd think they were done at a photo lab. Good job HP.
Problems: Switched out the 8mb card for a larger one and the first time I used it it said there was no CF card in place, but in the 100 pictures after that, no problems.
Opinion: I've taken about 100 pictures (all on original ni-cads). Extremely easy camera to use. 15 minutes with the clear instruction manual is all that is needed to feel confident with this camera. Controls are clear and intuitive. Picture quality is good to excellant. Software is limited as to editing, but very easy to use. This is a true "point & shoot" digital with some good, but limited options. Great value!
Problems: Lacks optical zoom, but for $299, ease of use & picture quality is awesome!
