My first "quality" digital camera, bought new in 1999 (for what now seems like a ridiculous price LOL). The legitimate reason for getting it was to check lighting and composition for my studio shots, a MUCH cheaper solution than shooting Polaroids. Still have it, mostly as a curiosity item to remind me how far things have progressed. The most surprising thing is that even now it offers usable pictures, and a feature missing on current compacts, a great optical viewfinder that allows you to ...

I have had this camera since 1999 and it's going to be sad tomorrow to see it replace (I'm getting a digital Rebel) Sure, it's not beautiful and fancy but it's OLD. It's done me a great job over the past 6 years. This past summer I even dropped it in the Pacific Ocean on a mistake. After 5 days of sitting on a table drying it started working again. If I had to go back 6 years, I'd buy it all over again. Not sure I'd buy it today though, there's too much out there that's newer ;) Problems: ...

The camera is clunky and slow. The features were poorly designed as well. I have had the camera for a few years now and have been looking to buy a new one ever since getting this one. I am embarrased when friends pull out their nicer cameras. I am going to buy a Canon Powershot G2 very soon. Problems: The settings are lost as soon as the camera is shut off.

Thought it was a good deal 2 years ago when I paid £135 for it but the image quality is so poor that I just haven't botherd to use it. A bad intro to digital photography for me. Problems: Bug in firmware

I've owned camera 3+ years. Very durable, reliable and easy to use. It has taken a beating and has continued to function despite dropping on concrete twice. A few broken pieces, but it still works well. Long shutter speed allows low light pictures without flash, which is sometimes necessary. No software problems encountered on Win 98 or Me. Comes with paper saver software which fits various size pictures on the same page to use paper most efficiently. Video out is handy with slideshow ...

Problems: This camera was received as a gift. We thought it would be nice to have and began to immediately experiment with it. What better subject to shoot than a 10 month old baby, right? Well, our experience with this camera was not fun. It was easy to use, the compact design was okay, the image quality was indeed average. The biggest complaint we had was that by the time the time the camera completed taking the image, the subject had long since stopped doing that thing you wanted to ...
