Opinion: At 1st I want to introduce myself a little. I'm from Holland, 16 years old and just a student.
My 1st choice of a digital camera was the Minolta Dimage F300. That camera contains lots of features.
I decided to buy a HP PotoSmart 935(with DS), because of the low price and the good opinions of other HP digicams.
Before U use the cam you have to charge the batteries. It will take about 15 hours! I made some shots. The quality was rather good and it works very quickly. The package of the cam contains lots of cables and papers, and a remote control(!), etc. It was easy to zoom. The 3x optical zoom is good and quickly. the digital zoom isn't very good. I't isn't an expensive cam, so I can't expect lots of it.

Problems: The lens is a little loosely. The size of the cam is a little too big. Small display. It will take 15 hours to charge the batteries before use. Too many buttons on the camera(makes the "ease of use" not very good)

Opinion: Had an HP-812 before, and was very Satysfied with it, but needed a cam that could cope a better shutter time in some sitations!

Therefore 935:

Problems: Thought that 5.3mio pixel would give more sharp pix than my old 4.1mio--But where surprised of the kind of corny pic. that showed in zooming progress!!

Opinion: Taken many 4X6 and 8X10 photos. Printed on Hp 7350 photosmart printer. Pictures are as good as my medium priced 35mm. Surprised at how clear the details have been in large prints. Can blow up portraits to 200% and see individual hairs. Does adequate job with youth soccer action shots.

Problems: no tiff or raw format. Screen is not very good outdoors, It is hard to see in bright sunlight. Sometimes slow to auto focus. Not good in low light, flash puts a spotlight on foreheads.

Opinion: Good quality images, easy to use controls. Fairly light and takes pictures at fast speeds.

Problems: I bought one at a local retailer and it stoped working after a day. The retailer exchanged it and I have had no other problems.
