I have being photographing for the past 3 years. I started off with Canon T2i then moved on to 60D after a year, and been shooting with 60D until my recent purchased of X-Pro 1. The X-Pro 1 is definitely lighter (body + lens = 1/2 weight of 60D body w/o lens), it's a great camera to be carry around to any places without drawing any attention (unless you broadcast the cost of it). I am extremely impressed with its performance in low light condition when shooting at iso-800 and above, compare ...

An overall great satisfaction A/- Some bad points given the price tag : -lack of weather sealing -battery capacity -very imprecise frame of OVF with the 35mm -slow AF in dim light at 55mm of the zoom (f4) where 60mm focuses well This could be a serious concern with the new tele at 200mm f 4.8, needs to be carefully checked -lack of built in diopter adjustment makes interchangeable photographer very difficult -Incredibly badly implemented Auto ISO B/- Special mention for some highly positive ...

I just want to add about the AF performance with the latest firmware (at the time of writing). It's much improved in accuracy as I always get the perfect focus ever since. But the AF speed is still only slightly improved, still on the slow side. It doesn't bother me at all. So for now, I'm perfectly happy with this camera I use X-Pro1 for my fun and travel camera. My working camera is my D800

See my X-E1 review for relevant comments, but the long and short of it is: 1. Amazing IQ in OOC jpegs. 2. Great high ISO in OOC jpegs. 3. Beautiful lenses. 4. Awkward RAW processing. The XPRO-1 also has a sub-standard EVF and I found the OVF kind of annoying to be honest. The Leica cameras do a much better rangefinder implementation and most are more accurate frame lines too. The XPRO-1 is a gorgeous camera but is implemented a bit clumsily IMHO. Problems: Awkward RAW processing. Sub-standard ...

Incomparable IQ. Outstanding high ISO performance (no NR required up to ISO 1600). Slow to focus. 35mm and 60mm lenses beautiful, esp. 35mm. Great handling. Small and light compared with an SLR, big compared to M4/3 or today's point-and-shoot cameras. You can carry it with a couple of lenses all day without noticing. Problems: Slow to focus. Exposure adjustment does not work in manual mode with Auto ISO.

Already owner of a X100 (with no troubles so far), I opt for buying a X-Pro1. Not the slightest problem... The handling is first class (have you tried with the grip?) The results are very good (I'll have to fiddle with a few options to find what suits me best: I'm starting with ISO 400 with a 200% dynamic range...perhaps RAW later on...) Am I happy? YES!!!

Who and how define " five most helpful user reviews"? Absolutely useless and non informative reviews (see here) are shown as "the most useful"

Some say it's not a camera for everyone, and it's not. But it was made for me and if you want a light camera with exceptional IQ and handling for street, landscape and portrait work, look no further. It's weaknesses as more than compensated by it's strengths. The sensor and lenses are phenomenal. If you can put up with something less, then fine, but for me all other requirements are secondary. My expectations of AF and handling were moderated by some reviews but all my worries were largely ...
