Hi,  So i'm about to purchase a new camera and i'm still torn between three.  1 Fujifilm X100s 2 Sony A7R 3 Fujifilm X-Pro1 I've borrowed an X100 and really like it, it's a bit slow on the take but the glass is excellent and it fits in with the casual camera that i'm looking to get. i've heard better things about the x100s. The fixed lens might be an issue, but i'd be looking to shoot 35mm primary anyways The Sony A7R ticks a lot of boxes, changeable len's, BIG resolution, good picture...

Hello, I wanted to buy a brand new fuji x-e2 along with the zoom but a friend of mine is keen to sell me his x-pro1 which has only 100 shots approx. It would come with the 35mm 1.4. At the end the x-pro would be 200€ cheaper than the x-e2 package.. What would you recommend? Thanks

Is that just the way it goes? The area of coverage is broadly ok on 23mm.. but even at infinity the accuracy of what the camera is actually pointing at is very poor in the OVF. With the 14mm the frame lines are about 20% too small and in the wrong place. I am disappointed as I thought these wider lenses would be much easier to work with than 35mm.  Please tell me I am missing something simple that I can fix.   I like the evf and would use it all the time.. but would like to experience the OVF...

What recommendations do you have?  Looking for least distortion.  Chroma isn't as much an issue.  Prime or short zoom.  Something that would give a 20mm in legacy 35mm terms.  This would be used on an X1Pro EVF Thanks for any input. --http://chkphotography.zenfolio.com/

Hello all, I'm hoping to jack in my D700 for a Fuji system. I photograph mainly travel & landscape plus some wildlife. Always shoot RAW, mainly colour but increasingly getting into B/W. I would like to get back to shooting 'old school', as if I had my old FM back! ie manual focus, manual everything! My choices are steering me towards: XE-1 or XE2 or XPRO1 with (later additions) X100s or X100 as back up. First I have just(!) 10 Questions: 1) HIGH ISO - I like to shoot, frequently, to 1600 on...

I recently got a new X-Pro 1. Now I wonder how accurate the focus distance indicator is. For instance, when I use the OVF it shows a focus distance (red bar) of let's say 4 meters to some object, and when I switch to the EVF and focus again the focus distance jumps to 7 meters. How can one explain that difference? Is it a malfunction? I have always wanted to step into the world of Leica, and now I've got 2.5k laying around to spend. I now have a Fuji X-system with 3 native lenses. However sometimes I hate how I have to change lenses in different situations. Then Leica X Vario came across. After seeing so many reviews I feel like XV is a great tool for photography, though it's slow. But for the same price range, I can get a M8 body and lenses like voigtlander to start the REAL rangefinder experience. IQ wise, which is...

I'm trying to fathom the best RAW converter settings in Aperture - esp for skin tones to avoid the waxy look. Some of the images on here make me think that it's totally possible - but I haven't hit the right combination of sliders yet... What settings do Aperture users use? I also have access to Photoshop (ACR 8.4) and Iridient so if users of either of those solutions are willing to share their raw conversion settings I'd be very grateful thanks all PS X-Pro1

With all the praise from reviewers for the X-T1, the viewfinder is really excellent from all the reports I've read. One thing never seems to be of much interest — the range of available diopter adjustment. I use a +3 diopter fitted to my X-Pro1. The upper limit to the built-in diopter adjustment of the X-T1 is just +2. It doesn't look like a supplementary lens can be used, The only other course available would be to use the viewfinder wearing glasses. Has anyone coped with this...
