I just bought MINTY USED Fuji X-Pro1 and have heard about all of these important firmware upgrades for the body and s couple of their lenses, I am using Mac OS X .6.8. Not even sure if the camera has had any firmware upgrades at all. How and what should I do? I have seen both musts and alternatively Warnings. ? All input, greatly appreciated.

I'm not too familiar with the history of the Xpro1 and XE1 when they first came out. What I do know is that the Xpro1 was way more expensive than the XE1, so that is one of the reasons why many skipped the Xpro1 and got the more compact XE1 with pretty much the same features as the Xpro1, except no OVF. How do you expect things to go during this round two with the appearance of the Xpro2 and then the XE3 after? Will things be pretty much the same, I mean, skipping the Xpro2? Didn't the XE1...

I'm comparing Fuji cameras with M43 format cameras (mostly Olympus OM) so I made a comparison for Fuji to study them. X X-Pro X-T X-E X-A X-M All have APS-C 16 mpx sensor (except X100 just 12 mpx). Some have viewfinder and some don't. Some have tilting LCD and some don't... Yes, I think X-A2 is better than X-A1 and X100T is better than X100S and X100 but from a serie and another such substantial difference are there? Here the comparison:...

I recently bought a new XP1 and updated the firmware to Ver. 3.40. I am not a newcomer to Fuji and I had an XP1 before. Whenever I switch on the camera for a new photo session the settings revert to something other than my most recent settings, for instance AUTO ISO 1600 reverts to ISO 200 and film simulation Velvia goes to Standard. What am I missing? --Dick Thornton

Like the title says, I'm looking to buy one of these two bodies. I have owned a X100 and currently have a x100s. I like the X-Pro1 for its OVF and aesthetics. Is it as fast as the X-e2 with the latest firmware? Maybe someone owns these two bodies and can give some advice. Thanks in advance!

Greetings, good people . . . I've been shooting and of course loving an X-pro1 for some weeks now. There are a couple of things about it that drive me crazy, and I hope they're from misconfiguration on my part and that someone here can advise me how to configure the camera to get what I'm seeking. The first is this: I'm accustomed to half-pressing the shutter release and thereby locking both focus and exposure, recomposing, and then pushing the shutter the rest of the way and having the...

I took my new XP1 out of the box, charged the battery, made my settings, updated the firmware from 2.01 to 3.40 (then made my settings again, of course) and bayonetted the 35/1.4 on and got ready to make some exposures. What was this? The OVF frame lines were so thin and pale I couldn't see them unless I aimed at a shadowed area. I fooled with the display and view mode buttons. Then the pale thin frame lines were SMALLER, like the area for the 60mm, not the 35mm. I unmounted and remounted the...

I see there is an option to assign the Fn button. the M3 menu has a second option underneath the Fn Button allocation. Its a V shape (almost like a heart) with selector written next to it What is this, and how do I use it??? Is this a second assignment of the Fn button...

I have updated my X100 and Xpro1 several times, but when i tried to download the new firmware for the x100T (1.10), i got a warning that my attempt had failed and to turn off my camera (which i did immediately).  I am trying to figure what I have done wrong, and wondering if i am alone, or if this has occurred to others. Thanks in advance or your help and advicel Jack
