Has anyone out there had experience in using X-E1/X-E2 for studio portrait photography. I have both X-E1 and X-E2, along with the 18-55mm, 27mm, 56mm, 50-230mm lenses. Could anyone give me a few tips regarding basic camera/lens settings for me to use as a starting point and progress from there. Thanks, limerigger

Hello Everybody, I have few simple query rather few stupid ones :-) Could anybody guide me which option to select in fujifilm X-E2 to focus on multiple subjects at the same time using Auto-Focus? How to shoot HDR using X-E2 and XF 18-55 mm Kit lens? what would be the best lens to shoot macro and portraits for X-E2? Thanking you in advance. :-)

I just received my 18-135 for use on my X-E2. I have read that the lens focuses silently and extremely quickly, but that has not been my experience. In particular, when I turn the camera on, there is a brief noise sounding like two metal pipes are rubbing. Then the same noise takes place when focusing, especially if the lens  searches , which does happen in low room light. My 18-55 makes no noise like this and is at least as fast focusing in low room light. I should add that the resolution is...

I just got a XE2+ Fuji M Adapter, but I have a problem with setting the aperture. I'm not able to change the aperture, it stay at F0. and the aperture setting option in menu is grayed out. I use the adapter with my Voigtlander Color Skopar 35mm F2.5. The photo come out ok, So I guess the exposure is correct. even the aperture stay at 0. is this normal to have aperture stay at 0?

I'm considering buying an x-m1 for its light weight and tiltable screen, but am anxious that RAW processing might be problematic.  I've had Silkypix a while ago, and didn't get on with it.  Does Lightroom handle the x-m1's raw files straightforwardly?  Another option I'm considering is the Sony a6000, which comes with easy to use RAW processing software that I'm already familiar with.  My other worry is that several reviews mention mushy greens, and suggest that Fuji x is not the best system...

Hi all, I'm a soon-to-be-father and am transitioning from my Olympus dSLR to a mirrorless system. The rangefinder style of the X-E2 is really appealing, and I'm wondering if folks can give their input on their ideal lens to use for photos of my new daughter. Based on research in this forum, I've narrowed down my lens selection to the 23, 35, and 18-55mm. I know each lens has pros/cons, and I'm interested if anyone can give a recommendation based on their personal experiences. I expect to be...

So, my 'real' photographic journey began with my trusty Canon EOS 550D. It was a workhorse of a DSLR that guided me through my early years as I was learning. Recently I upgraded to a 6D (which I'm absolutely loving), which is the real deal for landscapes and still object shots. Since my 550D is quite redundant now, I sold it off to get a 2nd camera, which will be a much smaller mirrorless, for street and (maybe) moving object photography. The only question is, which is the best for under (or...

Most reviews comment on the A7S's exceptional single-autofocus performance in low light. I'm also interested in how quick and reliable it is in good light. I have a Fuji X-E2, which has the same SAF as the X-T1. Can anyone tell me how the A7S's SAF compares to either of those cameras? Or to the Olympus E-M1? --JeffLeave it in the ground!

Hi there, I'm currently a Canon DSLR user, mainly photographing mountaineering/hiking. I got fed up with the bulk of the 17-40L and the DSLR itself and started to look for a smaller solution. I narrowed down my research to Sony A6000 with the crap kitlens and Fuji X-E2 with firmware 2.00. My question goes here: I read all the praising reviews of the Fuji X-trans sensor, and how amazing the kitlens is. But then I stumbled across this...

I'm really torn between these options, I've reached a point where I've read and seen so many reviews and they all seem so similar, I'm literally stuck and can't decide on one. It would be awesome if I had some less technical and more real use feedback about them (if it's someone that used more than one it's even better).  (Main focus for now is Street Photography and Landscape)
