Hello This is my first trip with a camera that has interchangeable lenses. I used a X-20 before which has automatic features, the X-E2 doesn't, other then putting it to priority aperture & shutter. Question 1: I have no real travel experience with a camera like this. Should I use it in full priority, or one of them, I'm afraid to miss opportunities if I go full manual. Manuel focus or auto? I'll be with a group tour. Question 2:Which lenses would you bring to Turkey or Morocco for 16...

This is such a difficult decision! I have read both are great cameras. I know the Fuji performs a little bit better in low light situations, and this is where I am torn. Having very little noise in low light situations is so important to me. However, I have read that the Fuji does not perform well with fast action shots. I have a little one who is always on the move, so you could see where this would be a huge drawback for me. Of course, there is no perfect camera, but I am trying to narrow...

Hello from rural Romania, I hope you are well. This is my first post, and I am confused. Here's why. I recently bought the X-E2. I've never before owned such a good, albeit complicated camera. I was having a great time shooting basic shots until a helpful, 'camera expert' friend pressed some buttons on the back, and then a few more buttons. Soon, he said, "Hmm.. not sure what's happened here, you'd better read the manual. Nice camera by the way. See you later." Exit helpful friend. Result:...

Went out with our bike club for our weekly ride. There was a local road rally race today so we all brought our cameras to try to get some action shots. Using my XE2 with kit Lens in manual mode with a shutter speed of 125, continuous focus and F11 I got clear crisp photos but no blurred background to give the impression of speed as the car zooms by. Both the car and background were in sharp focus. My friends, all using Canon aps-c SLR cameras were getting great shots with a blurred background...

Hi, There is currently a promotion in Canada from Fuji on the X-E2 camera where you can get a free 18mm prime lens if you purchase the X-E2 body only.  This is around 1000$ in Canada.  This is going to be my first SLR camera and I have never shot with only a prime lens before so my question is: Is it better to: A) Purchase the X-E2 package with the 18-55mm lens for $1200 and forfeit the current offer B) Purchase the X-E2 body only for $1000, get the free 18mm lens and then purchase the...

I have a Fujifilm X-E2 that I've owned for about a month now. I noticed that my exposure compensation dial does not change the meter on the screen when I turn it. The light meter only detects me turning the exposure compensation dial when its in aperture priority mode. Is this normal?

Hello photo buffs,After 4 years of gap, I'm starting to get interested in photography again.I currently have Canon 450d/XSi, Canon 50mm f/1.4 and Tokina 12-24 f/4. I want to move to X-e2 so I can reduce the size and weight for every day use. However, since I will always use Tripod for landscape weight is not so much of an issue and I would like to use my Tokina for landscape. My main question is if I use adapter I will have to focus and meter manually. Manual focus doesn't seem too difficult...

Hi, Just saw that Fuji are actually selling covers in set for X-T1. http://www.fujifilm.com/news/img/news/n140416/pic_07.jpg I currently using X-E2 and would like to put a cover on the hot shoe. Can any X-T1 owner snap a photo on the bottom view and side view of the Fuji's hot shoe cover? Thank you.

For street photography do you find the X-E2 fast enough to easily capture moving targets like people and motorbikes and the like?  I'm serious about picking up an X-E2 soon.  I presently use a Nikon V1 but sometimes I'm left not fully satisfied by the IQ.  If anyone could provide any info, I'd appreciate it a lot. --In a technological & media culture everything is reduced to preformance.

Hello! In X-E2 review (in "12.Dynamic Range" section) You wrote that a separate article is going to be published: Quote: "We'll be publishing a separate article about the full consequence of these settings for Raw shooters" Have the plans changed? I would love to read about Your experience and opinion how one should convert Fuji's RAW files to get the maximum out of them. What software is (arguably) the better choice, what is the workflow, etc. There are quite a lot of different opinions in...
