I mostly use EVF to shoot. Then if I want to change something in the menu it shows up in EVF rather then screen. I have to switch view mode to screen for menu and then back to EVF to shoot every time. I would like to see menu on the screen even if I shoot in EVF, is there a solution for this? Thanks. P.S. playback is still using screen, but not the menu.

Fuji Canada has a mail-in promotion until the end of the month: if you get either one of these two bodies new they will send you a 18mm. I am thinking of switching to Fuji for mirrorless for a while (Sony failed to deliver lenses for APS-C mirrorless) and I am now tempted to join the X Mount crowd. But which one should I get? I have handled both in store a couple of times and I like the hybrid viewfinder on the X-Pro 1 among other things & the price is right esp. w/ the deal, but there is a...

I recently upgraded from LR 4 to LR 5.5 after discovering LR 4 will not work with my new Fuji X-E2. I have three computers all which now are using LR 5.5 1. A Dell Desktop running Windows 7 and LR 5.5--- No problems 2. A Mac mini OS X 10.8.4 and LR 5.5---No problems Both the above work fine with Fuji RAW files However, #3, my MacBook Pro (10.9.4) will not convert to DNG, giving me the dreaded "Could not be read" Not only that, but my Fuji X100s which was getting along fine with the MacBook...

The Fuhi X-E2 does not supply a cable to transfer files to my PC. I can't formulate the right search keywords to find information on this. Fuji web site does not have a cable on their accessories web page for the X-E2. Am I doomed to take the SD card out every time? Thank you for any information on this... --Mireille

Hello This is my first trip with a camera that has interchangeable lenses. I used a X-20 before which has automatic features, the X-E2 doesn't, other then putting it to priority aperture & shutter. Question 1: I have no real travel experience with a camera like this. Should I use it in full priority, or one of them, I'm afraid to miss opportunities if I go full manual. Manuel focus or auto? I'll be with a group tour. Question 2:Which lenses would you bring to Turkey or Morocco for 16...

This is such a difficult decision! I have read both are great cameras. I know the Fuji performs a little bit better in low light situations, and this is where I am torn. Having very little noise in low light situations is so important to me. However, I have read that the Fuji does not perform well with fast action shots. I have a little one who is always on the move, so you could see where this would be a huge drawback for me. Of course, there is no perfect camera, but I am trying to narrow...

Hello from rural Romania, I hope you are well. This is my first post, and I am confused. Here's why. I recently bought the X-E2. I've never before owned such a good, albeit complicated camera. I was having a great time shooting basic shots until a helpful, 'camera expert' friend pressed some buttons on the back, and then a few more buttons. Soon, he said, "Hmm.. not sure what's happened here, you'd better read the manual. Nice camera by the way. See you later." Exit helpful friend. Result:...

Went out with our bike club for our weekly ride. There was a local road rally race today so we all brought our cameras to try to get some action shots. Using my XE2 with kit Lens in manual mode with a shutter speed of 125, continuous focus and F11 I got clear crisp photos but no blurred background to give the impression of speed as the car zooms by. Both the car and background were in sharp focus. My friends, all using Canon aps-c SLR cameras were getting great shots with a blurred background...

Hi, There is currently a promotion in Canada from Fuji on the X-E2 camera where you can get a free 18mm prime lens if you purchase the X-E2 body only.  This is around 1000$ in Canada.  This is going to be my first SLR camera and I have never shot with only a prime lens before so my question is: Is it better to: A) Purchase the X-E2 package with the 18-55mm lens for $1200 and forfeit the current offer B) Purchase the X-E2 body only for $1000, get the free 18mm lens and then purchase the...

I have a Fujifilm X-E2 that I've owned for about a month now. I noticed that my exposure compensation dial does not change the meter on the screen when I turn it. The light meter only detects me turning the exposure compensation dial when its in aperture priority mode. Is this normal?
