Almost certainly the last Fujifilm digital SLR, the S5 Pro is, like all its predecessors, built around a Nikon body (in this case the D200). The big selling point is the unique 12MP 'SR' sensor, which uses dual photosites to capture far wider dynamic range. The S5 Pro still rules the roost in this area, which is why it remains popular with wedding and portrait photographers. The Nikon body is excellent (if now a little dated), the dynamic range and color rendition still impress, and the only real downside is the relatively low resolution and lack of pixel-level sharpness.

Opinion: Obtained my Fujifilm S5 pro last week.
Absolutely the best digital camera I have used for excellent jpeg files for printing directly from the camera.
Resolution is similar to a 10 mp camera.
Problems: Need software for raw files.
Opinion: Been using mine for a few days, image quality is better than my D200 and seems as good in most other respects.
Burst mode is slow (2 fps) and writing to the card is very slow.
I feel I can accept the two downsides for the improvement in image quality.
Opinion: excellent colours and very high dynamic range
Opinion: I have been using an S2Pro and got the S5 a week ago. It is a dream to use. New review frame is great. Controls are well placed and easy to use.
