I found a second hand XF55-200 in good condition at 400 euros and I have a X-M1 body with the standard XC 16-50 and a XF 35 mm. I know that the 55-200 sounds a bit too much for my body, but this price is slightly more than a XC50-230. Moreover, could be a better lens if I decide to upgrade to a X-T1 in the future. My question is: is the 55-200 fully usable with the X-m1 and do you think it can be a good deal or you would go for a XC50-230 anyway? Thanks a lot in advance, Pavius
I have the 55-200 and while the optics are great, I want to smash it every time I need to use it in low light. My XT1 hunts constantly with it and I miss way too many shots with the lens. For those of you who have used or own both, does the 18-135 have the same AF problems in low light? I'm scared to get one knowing how bad the 55-200 is at 4.8 so my assumption would be that the 18-135 at 5.6 would be as bad if not worse. Thanks in advance! --Ben

I am looking at getting a Raynox DCR-150 or DCR-250 for my X-E1. I'm leaning towards the DCR-150 and using it on my 55-200; if I understand it correctly, that should result in almost a 1:1 reproduction ratio at 200mm and give me a working distance of somewhere around 7" or so. I considered the DCR-250, which should give a range of reproduction ratios of 1:0.5 to 1.6:1; however, I'm concerned that the short working distance would make it difficult to use. Also, as the Raynox is 43mm and...
Hi folks, I recently bought a new 55-200mm F3.5-4.8 lens on Ebay for my new Fuji X-T1.The lens has strange sound when I flip it over. It sounds like there is a loose part inside. After a breif test the lens seems to be working, images do not have obvious issues. But this annoying sound is very frustrating. Does anybody have the same experience? Is it normal? Thanks.
Hello. This is my first post here and apologies if it has been asked before. I have done a search and can't find it addressed. I am hoping I could get some opinions about the Fuji 55-200 f4-f5.6 and its suitability for airshows please. Airshows are just a part of my photography and I have never wanted to carry around large DSLRs and very large, heavy lenses. I currently have a Sony A7 with the 28-70mm kit lens which I really enjoy using. I also use it with legacy Rokkor lenses so don't want...
