Hi All, Need help, travelling to Japan from mid march to start of April with the family, what places would be good to put in the itenery that would keep the 2 yr old and other half happy but also allow me to take some lanscapes and city scapes? Also i am going through lenses for my Fuji X-pro 1 and trying to figure out what i should buy and i am confused as i want everything but obviously budget does not stretch, i dont care what type of photography i do however after having moved to Fuji...

Hello, I picked up a Fujifilm Finepix F30 ten years ago and absolutely fell in love with it and have been using it ever since with 23k pictures taken so far. I take pictures in all sorts of situations and tend to carry it around a lot. It's taken quite a beating falling from heights and getting wet.  Recently though I was wondering if it might be worth upgrading to something newer. I was looking at the XF1 and X10. Would there be a noticeable difference in image quality if I upgraded to...

I am considering buying either the Samyang/Rokinon 12mm 2.8, or the latest Fuji XF16mm 1.4 for astrophotography (especially for shooting the aurora borealis), and for use with my Fuji XT-1. Any advice on the better lens - I can find no comparisons between the two, only versus the XF14mm

Hello, I have the xf1 and since it doesn't come with a view finder, would it be possible to hook it up to a tv to use as a live viewfinder? (i'd like to record some stuff and make sure it isn't out of focus without having to constantly stop what i'm doing and view videos to check)I have tried with a hdmi cable and have only been able to view pictures and already recorded videos. Is there anyway to change it? Thank you in advance!

Maybe, I'm slow, but I spent about an hour searching the forums and web in general for the answer and couldn't find it: Short version: Can someone explain the labeling of Sony lenses, especially how to tell full-frame versus crop? For instance, Nikon uses the "DX" designation to indicate lenses suitable only for crop sensors (or FF cameras in crop mode). But, I can't find anything in the Sony labels. I'll be starting with a A7S II body, if that helps, and doing mostly video. Long version: I'm...

Hi folks, I'm having a strange problem getting reds to show up properly when shooting at night, especially when other objects, which are yellow, are present. All photos were shot using latest Fuji X-T1 4.0 firmware, Fujinon lenses with UV filter only. I've tried white balance bracketing, custom white balance, white balance presets for different types of lights (tungsten, manual adjustment of Kelvin.), color compensation +2, exposure compensation. Nothing seems to work. Here's an example. A...

Hi all, I am a big fun of good dynamic range and I recently bought a XF1 that I always carry with me. I am a happy camper till now as I get what I expected, modest resolution (compared to my dslr+lenses), good close up abilities, good AF speed and a nice menu. I do not get the usual phone-camera /cheap camera look, which makes me happy to cary and use this camera. I use Faststone as my image viewer but although this programm understands the exposure mode I manually set, if the camera opts for...

So I've been using the 14mm with an infrared filter for a while, and the results have been lovely. It has however, been getting rained on quite a bit recently. So I was considering changing it for the 16mm. I feel I wouldn't really miss out too much as I've started making panoramics. has anyone tried the 16mm with any of the infrared filters? Are there any hot spots at any of the apertures? Thanks for any answers. While we're on the subject, has anyone tried any of the newer lenses with...
