Just a few thoughts on my new camera..... I recently bought the Fuji x10 from Currys - ex-display for £269. I was looking for a small compact to carry about with me when I go walking/sailing etc. I also have a Nikon D7000 which due to its size and weight is used far less frequently than it should (when you take account of the investment it represented!). The X10 is a fantastic little camera - all the more so at the price it's available for now. I really like B&W photos, and love the way it ...

I had it for a short while las t year at some point where I was hesitating on a new camera. I ended up trading it for the Lumix GX1 that I traded for the X100... I know this is a strange process of choosing a camera. About the little Fuji, I would say that it was a very good compact camera but, at this point, I wanted more in terms of IQ... Now that I own a 6D wich is a IQ king in my opinion, I could very well have settled for the X10 (or X20) as a second camera. I choose the XZ-2 in the end ...

I soot from the v format of hasselblad with 6 different lens type, likewise with Leica M series Ive come from this era and as a compromise for easy to use digital the fujifilm x10 has done a justifiable job. Problems: What you pay is what you get

I bought the X10 as I was so frustrated by the poor screen visibility of my Olympus Pen E-P1. It was SO frustrating not being able to compose in bright sunlight! So, the X10 was chosen as it has a "proper" optical viewfinder, so I could atleast compose with some confidence even though rangefinder viewfinders have a tendency to be inaccurate. All I can say is that this is one hell of a compact camera. The picture quality is excellent and for those obsessed with orbs, I can honestly say that I ...

Since january 2012, I took 99% of my photographies with it. I love my EOS 500D but the X10 is smaller, lighter, totaly silent, so always with me. The image quality is really good, controls are sufficients. It's behavior is very good in low light (the lens is very bright) and I nearly never experienced 'orbs' To be perfect, I would like a bigger sensor (more bokeh) and a longer tele... In the same volume (I'm dreaming).

I am VERY impressed with this camera. I took it on the Rocky Mountaineer train trip from Calgary to Vancouver http://jpfarrer.smugmug.com/Other/Rocky-Mountaineer-2012/25469335_bf82zW#!i=2097983646&k=q2VxPC6 - all the low light and wide angle shots were taken with the X10 (the rest with a Pentax K7 and 50-200 zoom). It also shoots amazing video in low light. This camera is better for the serious enthusiast than for someone who wants a "point and shoot" but other than that I would highly ...

I mainly use this camera outdoors on climbing/hiking trips, and that's my main interest. By far the biggest plus point is the speed and quality of the lens. By far the biggest minus point is the battery life. The camera produces excellent images (I have a recent one, so no orbs) and in particular it's dynamic range in EXR mode is very good, and really helps with landscapes. The viewfinder is far from useless, and it's a massive help in sunny conditions. The lack of an automatic lens cover is ...

These are really just my first impressions.... A very interesting little camera. Feels like a little Leica. Acts like a little Leica in terms of the controls being very nicely implemented, with nice detents and a clever zoom/off ring. Takes photos that look like Velvia film. Easy to see why people like it. That said, this is a camera with issues. I got it because I wrote a tool called DeOrbIt to remove the white orbs... and white orbs are much more common than I expected, although they're ...

I have been a keen amateur for years and have owned everything from a Pentax spotmatic through the first autofocus camera Minolta 7000 and then on to digital working my way up through to a Nikon D90. I got sick of lugging an SLR with lenses etc. and decided to go for a compact, a small Sony DSC-HX5V which was OK but just OK. On sunny days I missed the viewfinder and looked around for an alternative, I was somewhat cautious and considered the Canon G1X and Nikon 7100 but after a trip to my ...

The X10 is one of the best cameras I've owned or used. This camera is so well built that it feels like my film cameras, not a "digicam" or a digital point and shoot. A terrific mirrorless digital, this camera feels and performs like a fine photographic tool. The quality of construction, ergonomics, feel of controls makes this camera a pleasure to operate and use. I love the hybrid between a retro look and feel with modern functionality. Image quality, particularly with respect to dynamic ...
