One of the better superzoom compacts I have tried offering a quite nice set of features. Positive points are + Decent 27-270mm lens range and optics are quite good (least on my copy sharp) + EXR does indeed work esp the DR modes really does help cling onto highlights where most cameras run and hide + Metering is good mostly reliable and won't need much adjustment even in lower light levels + Flash is quite consistent with good powering down for closer up subjects can be fooled by overly ...

The Pro Focus and Pro Low Light mode are very interesting features to play with. The SN EXR mode works well and up to my expectation. IMHO, the ISO 800 is also usable for print up to A4 size. Quite good value for money. Problems: None for now

Great point & shoot with DSLR colors/contrast, the Aperture mode leaves alot to be desired IMO, battery could be better but with a lower resolution screen setting and no display its fine worth the $160 i paid for, it replaced my 3yr old olympus fe360 has my P&S (which is still a great camera). Problems: Software uploading bt i use the olympus software anyway

Coming from a D3/D700 in dslr country, I got this as my pocket zoom, take everywhere cam. Overall IQ is not that of a dslr, but for what I does provide, its great. I have been very pleased with it from an operational POV. The menus are a little quirky, but simple enough to navigate. The speed to AF on a relatively contrasty subject is fine, even in somewhat lower light. EXR modes are useful and helpful for some subjects. If you are like me, looking for a quick and easy, take everywhere, ...

sensor broke down after 3 months of use. I really wanted to like this camera. Initial impression was awesome. Nice long zoom capability. Great image quality. But.... Problems: ....sensor broke down after 3 months of use. Need to send it back to manufacturer for repair. No more Fuji cameras for me.

EXR dynamic range mode is great for outdoor photos. The fancier high-ISO modes (eg pro low light) produce impressive results, but an auto shot that uses 800 or above is quite grainy. That seems to be the payoff for the long zoom. Build quality is excellent although the battery/SD card cover jammed briefly. It's freed up again now though. Haven't taken many shots with flash so can't comment on that. Update - battery/card cover now jammed completely. Have sent it back to Fujifilm for repair. Pr ...

Just as good as the F30 in my opinion. Similar low light results can be achieved if the F70's shots are scaled down to match the F30's resolution in Photoshop. In my comparison, auto ISO 400 on the F30 and auto ISO 400 set on Astia on the F70 get similar low light results. The Astia setting seems to remove most of the purple fringing from the F70's high contrast images and makes the colors more saturated like the F30. Image Stabilization makes up for the F stop lost in the F70's added ...

Fuji finally achieved what i wanted improved over my F900: 27-10X optical and 10 Megapixels, excellent low light, real imge stabilization (triple level), and about $200 in a beautiful metal housing that fits into a shirt pocket. Perfect as a travel camera. Nothing really more to say. Except, these great attractions are coordinated with superb software controls, powerful image stabilization and virtually distortion-free optics. The wide range of operating modes allow for full automatic use by ...
