My first digital camera several years ago, took it all over the world thousands of pictures, always produced excellent results. Its been used by my daughter for the last couple of years and still going strong.

I bought this camera nearly 3 years ago after trying out the Olympus C3000 first (disappointing). It gave me a year or two of excellent service, when in a weak moment I sold it to my sister who wanted a decent digicam for her husband (she had a limited budget). I then "upgraded" to the Canon S40, which does NOT produce such delightfully sharp, richly coloured images as the 4700Z (despite being a 4mp camera). I'm currently considering going back to Fuji (601Z) - despite Phil's reservations ...

I bought this camera about two years ago and it has given me outstanding images. I must confess to being a bit of a fan of Fuji, but perhaps when I next upgrade I will try an alternative brand. I was especially pleased when the Smartmedia storage allowed me to use 128mB cards. Problems: Nothing major. The 4700z does not always cope well with very bright sunlight. Overall, a worth while investment.

This is an older model, so I bought it new for under $200. Not bad! I like the fact it uses AA NiMH batteries, which are widely available. Image quality is good, though a step below my Canon Powershot. I think the unit is extremely easy to use. Menus are well laid out and I figured out 95% of the operation without reading the manual. One small tip, the Fuji Canada site offers free upgraded software that Fuji USA does not. Problems: None so far. The software that came with the camera ...

Long term user. I got my 4700 way back when they were new. Digital cameras age like computers I suppose. Anyway, I have taken about four thousand photos with it and it still works perfectly. The only sign of it's age is some dust behind the function LCD panel. PROS: Small size. Uses standard size batteries. Decent picture quality. AVI movie function with sound. Fast boot up and button response. Excellent zoom range on picture review lets you check focus and small details. CONS: Some users ...

Nice point-and-shooter. My next camera should give better colours. Problems: Low battery life; lens distortion: all buildings are now round; you get more than you see through the viewfinder; colours are not too good and depend heaviliy on lighting conditions and apparantly on the electronics.

Like it, love it. Great value for money, really. Have been using it since Nov 2000. About 5.000 pics now and counting. My new baby Daughter must be the most photographed kid in my vincinity...;-) Don't expect SLR-like performance, just great pics easily printable on A4 format (Europe) and 8x11 (US). Macro is nice, National Geographic-like pics of beautiful colourful flowers. Heard that the 128 SM card would not work but that's untrue (at least for my s/w version, if that would make a ...

It's my first digital camera......but I have 5 in total! It's got good features and takes excellent pictures ( if you got a digital printer that is....other wise the pics come out with the hue slightly higher from the lad!) if you focus properly first. Has a wide range of settings that you can play with....which I don't even need to use. Beware!!!!!Remember to take at least 4-5 pairs of batteries with you if you're on a night out and will be taking a lot of pics!!!!! Problems: The erase and ...
