Fujifilm FinePix 4700 Zoom

Small camera for daily documentation. AF not very reliably (available light). More a toy than a tool. Poor service (in Germany), it took 8 weeks to change the lens. Problems: I detected a ISO-problem with my Finepix 4700Z. The shutter speed looks always very slow so I checked it with three conventional cameras. The result is very poor. Got it as a gift 10 months ago, still operates great. Had lots of fun tinkering with its advanced settings and learning camera lingo and techniques. Fast & easy file transfer to PC. Too bad you can't delete pics on the camera from the PC. Problems: A speck of dust seems to have gotten stuck inside, and creates a dot in pictures consistently in 1 spot. Camera's prone to blurring from hand shaking, so I have to rest it on my nose when shooting. Battery life sucks, but mine came w/ 4 NiCD ...

Almost perfect except for it's durablitity. I purchased this camera in July 2001. The camera takes some great Photos that you can actually develop 8x10's with. Most Digi cams don't give you the resolution you need to develop good looking 8x10's. It's easy to use, small and gives out the Aaww factor to any one around while your snapping away. I had this camera for only two weeks, I have experience with it because I used the one a relative has and it worked fine. I love the features, and the ease of use and the quality of the pictures... Problems: When I bought mine, one day I was going to take some pictures for my work and the batteries where fully charged and when I turned it on, with the flash poped up it just died- I tried taking out the batteries, charging them again and it didn´t do anything.

Repaired twice already. I bought my camera in May. I love it. I love the size, image quality and all the features. movies with sound is a great feature. Not a substitute for a quality camcorder, but great for quick movies. Always carry an extra set of AAs. That should be sufficient for a day of heavy photography. This cam is just great. I don't understand why the reviews said such lies as : Poor quality image. I've bought my 4700 and i just love it. Of course in low light conditions the quality becomes lower but still very acceptable Problems: None

I am a 3rd year college student with a history of cameras in the family. Ive tested and owned cameras as old as the 70's russian built cameras with IOR lenses (great cameras at the time) to todays olympus 3040. ive owned a olympus d-460 zoom before this but its damaged as of now. I purchased the FF 4700 for its looks and features for $413 total. The image quality is great in good light but requires skill to use in low light (not impossible) The movie feature is very good except for low light.
