Like it, love it. Great value for money, really. Have been using it since Nov 2000. About 5.000 pics now and counting. My new baby Daughter must be the most photographed kid in my vincinity...;-) Don't expect SLR-like performance, just great pics easily printable on A4 format (Europe) and 8x11 (US). Macro is nice, National Geographic-like pics of beautiful colourful flowers. Heard that the 128 SM card would not work but that's untrue (at least for my s/w version, if that would make a ...

It's my first digital camera......but I have 5 in total! It's got good features and takes excellent pictures ( if you got a digital printer that is....other wise the pics come out with the hue slightly higher from the lad!) if you focus properly first. Has a wide range of settings that you can play with....which I don't even need to use. Beware!!!!!Remember to take at least 4-5 pairs of batteries with you if you're on a night out and will be taking a lot of pics!!!!! Problems: The erase and ...

This was my first digital camera. I bought it 18 months ago and have taken 2,400 pictures with it. I strongly recommend it to anyone who needs a good, dependable point-and-shoot digital camera that can easily fit in your pocket. But tomorrow, I'm due to get a Minolta Dimage 5, so I'm giving my trusty 4700 to a friend who has no digital camera. So long 4700. It's been a great ride. I just hope I don't regret giving you away. Problems: This camera has taken incredible abuse from extreme ...

Problems, the camera mutelazises its photofiles, the photo's are not recognized as jpeg's,so unusable. smartmedia cards are rejected with "card not initialized" failure too many times. I like the camera, size and features are ok but i use this camera for work and it happened to me 5 times this year that the photo's were lost and i hate this.......... Problems: lost taken photo's 5 times due to damaged photofiles on sm-card and sm-cards give too many times errors resulting in loss of pictures

I find camera easy to use and relatively reliable. It took me some time to learn to ideal configurations but after that I have been really pleased with the camera. Prints made out of pictures are accurate and good looking. It is better to use large picture sizes and fine image packing. Problems: Sometimes gets jammed when starting up.

I recently upgraded from MX2700 to the Finepix 4700Z and I have found that the lens distortion (barrel) is very bad on the new camera. I will be taking this up with Fuji as I believe it must be a manufacturing problem as I cannot see any comments about this problem in your reveiws or forum discussions. Apart from that Landscapes are fine. I also find it very annoying that the camera did not come with a power supply (only a battery charger) so you have to do all your downloading and ...

I like the good big 2" display.& zoom great for reviewing your pictures. I want to see my pictures on the camera a 1.5 or 1.6" display would be useless to me ! I like the optional pop up flash & fast ASA settings. its nice to take discreet pictures without flash @400 ASA or even 800. on the manual setting. I could never get this camera out of my pocket. now I have bought a little portable bendy tripod . which acts as a handle and it transformed this camera. Problems: I like to use manual ...

Excellent for taking it with me all the time, easy to use and excellent sharpness and color. Controls are easy, setup to auto everything and takes excellent pictures. Pocketable without need for a case!, don't drop it because it is somewhat slippery. Problems: Only annoyance is viewfinder sees only about central 80%, so I am always cropping with PhotoShop.

Its hard to hammer your own camera or get impartial advice from people who have invested in such a nice peice of technology - but here are my niggles. Battery life - its appauling! Whilst its nice to have 'standard' AA batteries, I never get enough out of my rechargeable NiMH. I've invested in some 1800mAh and not much more job than the originals. I tried akalines once to discover they hadn't enough umph in them at all. The battery indicator too is inaccurate and doesn't foreworn enough ...
