Bought a used MX-2700 but haven't used it yet. Problems: I can't afford the new cameras so purchased the MX-2700 and was told that I need software to operate it. Does anyone have the software that I can purchase from them?

I have had this for several years, and it's been a reliable 'workhorse'. I use a floppy disk adapter to get the pics into the PC, so have never had hassles with wires, cradles etc. It takes ten minutes, but you just go and make a cup of tea while it's downloading :) The rechargable battery will last just long enough to fill an 8Mb + 16Mb + 64Mb cards, with minimal flash use and the LCD 'off'. I took the camera to Spain from the UK, and the recharger worked just fine; you just need a simple ...

- quite noisy for night Indoor images (with flash) - slow response (3-4sec) when read/write to/from the smartmedia - small and convenient to carry (single-handed operation is possible but images may easily get blurred) - accessories are quite expensive (extra spare battery, quick battery charger, smartmedia USB reader, 64MB SM card) total around 300USD... - in fine mode it's adequate for 3R photo output

If one decides to carry a small digital camera around (as opposed to a sophisticated one) this camera is good. One does however soon find the limitations of the few features on it and having experimented with digital photography a more fully featuured camer would be preferred Problems: none

The flash is very weak. I've been using this camera for 2 years now and that is the worse part of it. Night photos are utterly horrible. Also, the picture quality really goes down over time. However, the photo colours turn out well and it is a solid piece of machinery.. having dropped it 2-3 times I can tell you that! Problems: Weak Flash

this camera is nice and small, definitly fit in your pocket, that's why I like it, prints come out good, make sure you use the max res. I love the macro mode, I have my toy pic online, http://carrobots.cjb.net Problems: indoor shots are bad. good for outdoor

My dislikes of this camera are: 1)No optical Zoom. This is a bummer, because Digital Zoom is really a joke. I didn't realize how much i used zoom, but i miss it. 2)No rapid fire mode. the 1700 has a feature where you can take 9 shots in 2 seconds. this one doesn't. 3)Weak flash. my indoor shots don't come out very good. i go to parties and compare my pics to other people's and mine look bad in comparison (like the Coolpix) Problems: no problems at all, no failures.

I had the benift of tesing 6 digital cameras before choosing, the Fuji won on robustness, ease of use and compactness without compromising image quality. used with the smart media reader attched to the PC it is an excellent tool Problems: Sometimes flash is too low spec ( especially on red eye setting ) and limited to straight on , could do with tilt, UK charger is only 240v not much good when you go abroad

Great Price, good quality, Light weight Problems: Short battery life, need smartmedia reader to transfer images(serial just too slow), should include 32MB SM card.
