I have had this camera for about 1 year. I think it is still the best digital camera that Fuji has ever produced. My images are easily as sharp and contrasty as any 5 MP camera I have seen to date. I can easily enlarge my images even at 3MP fine setting to 16 x20 inches or more. I have been amazed at the solid construction of this camera and have hit it against objects and it is still going strong. I find myself going back to this camera with a quantum QB1 attached whenever I want 5 pictures per second. 717 cannot do it... and love the warm fuji colors and clarity. Problems: bought an inexpensive .5 gig compact flash card and found that the vga movie STOPPED to record (went busy) I think this may be due to the compct flash media i purchased. Smartmedia works fine. I intend try the 1G IBM microdrive

I just bought this camera yesterday but in a day and a half have taken better photos than I have ever taken in my life. The picture quality is amazing even at the lowest, 1MP normal, setting. The photos easily print to 8"x10" even at the lowest quality and are indistinguishable from a photo shop 8"x10". If you are looking for a digital camera then do yourself a favor and buy this one! Problems: The only issue even worth mentioning is that the camera does eat normal AA batteries. Get a charger ...

This camera has all the features of the Nikon 5700, Minoltas 7Hi and many other Higher-end Prosumer Digital Cameras.
