Bought this camera a couple of years ago at an end of model sale. Taken thousands of shots mainly on holidays. Good SLR like body with firm grip - just the thing for telephoto shots. EVF, altho fairly low res. is great for outdoor shooting and steady hand holding for zoom shots. Excellent 6x optical zoom which is bright f2.8 and constant aperture f2.8 - f3 at max zoom. Takes 55mm filters. Very simple to use altho' not many 'manual' settings. Good color and exposure altho pics are a bit 'soft' ...

Had mine for 3yrs now and never had any problems with it. Have taken it out whale watching, GREAT PIC'S... Have used it for our wedding, again GREAT PIC'S some better than the photographer's shots. Can even take some pretty wonderful pitch black shots, as in room/area is dark and the photo still works. Have taken a few snaps of family members for b'days in pitch darkness and great photo's... Have also used it as a web cam. Problems: Apart from being so easy to use that the kids like using it ...

I have had this camera for just a week and it is a replacement for my trusty Ixus 300 which has served me well in the 4 years I have had it. The image quality of this camera is fantastic for the price. The ease of use is hard to beat and I would thoroughly recommend this camera to all who are considering it.

I possess other digital cameras but I needed a point and shot and I have chosen the S3500 for its simplicity. I recommend it to all those people who desire to photograph in complete automatism or to those people that can exploit the Manual mode to effect small interventions of correction on the exposure and the quality of the images. Problems: Nothing.

The FinePix S3500 is a very beautiful digital camera to look, easy-to-use and with the really amazing quality of the images. Its price of sale, is ridiculous besides!!! The auto focus suffers with the low lights but it is precise. Problems: ;-)

surprisingly good camera. Beginner or not, don't see too many of them and its a very good camera. VERY VERY surprising but too slow shutter lag to recommend. The biggies of all recent cameras should not be shutter lag but this has it. Other then that and if you don't mind that, this is very good Problems: not good in low light and the only kiiller: poor shutter lag and the only reason I didn't keep it.

this is my second digital camera and so far the best ,I have found the quality and the colour of the photos to be excellent,my previous camera was a canon ( I have owned several canons before( slr's ) and while it took great photos it was not user friendly, the S3500 I found to be the opposite as long as you take the time to read the manual I could not recomend this camera highly enough, brilliant results every time! Problems: the only thing that I could find was that the size of the xd card ...

The Fujifilm FinePix S3100 is my first digital camera, and I have owned it for about four months now. I bought it for the 4 megapixel CCD and 6X zoom as there is nothing close at the $300 price point. I am very happy with the image quality - Clear with very good/natural color. Plenty of manual features to experiment with, and they do take time to learn. Battery life is quite good, and the four AA cells allows you to simply pop into a store and pick up some readily available alkalines if your ...

This is my first digi cam and I have had this camera for a week and given it a thorough workout. Have fully read manual and I now know and have used all of its capabilities. Some comments In point and shoot auto mode the images are clean, The colours of wooden fence, tree ferns and pink and white and mauve flowers are very close to actual colours. No sign of CA as yet. I was impressed with the way it captured the colours and light and shade accurately of a swathe of tree ferns in auto mode. ...
