Bought this camera (or more precisely, the 3000SE - 3.2mp) at Future Shop just before xmas for $275 Canadian, and they threw in a $180 Epson color printer/scanner/copier for free. Researched the camera for quite a long time on this and other websites, and the 6x zoom (and price) is what tipped it over the edge. I'm extremely happy with the picture quality (fairly surprised, actually, given some of the reviews). Even in low light, with and without the flash, as long as you can get the ...

Superzoom camera at the price for "normal" camera. What I like: +picture quality is good, pics are sharp, colors are real (best quality I ever had with 3 megapixel camera) +very easy to use (menus) +6xzoom +for less than 250$ excellent camera +AA-batteries or rechargeable +sharp pics with macro mode -only ISO 100 without flash -ISO 100 and 3s shutter are not enough for night scenes -no manual focus available -no manual ISO-settings available -movies are without sound, only 10 pics/second, ...

I legally stole this cam for 169.00 at circuit city! good balance of features and 6xs opti zoom is nice and way above a typical P&S cam. Focuses quick, menu not all cluttered up with useless stuff so scrolling thru is quick and power conserving, excellent manual is all English-hooray!! Good Software and has not corupt my PC. Has a .3 meg pix switch for email pixs-great! Battery life is good. Large LCD but i use the EVF most. I think this is least expensive digi-cam i seen with a EVF and this ...

The Fujifilm FinePix S3000 Z has proven to be a great camera, there are many here that say it doesn’t focus well or work in certain conditions, but if you read the directions the camera will work above any expectations. I was a professional photographer or many years, and picked this out after much research. It is not the camera of my dreams or a professional camera but that aside it is an excellent camera. You have to read and understand how auto focus and auto exposure works and that being ...

had mine for two weeks .good overall pics, good in manual control even though its still auto focus, nice to be able to change apature when the need arises.zooms well pity its only six times when at full 3mb res digital zoom gets you nearer if in lower res but trade of in sharpness stay at full res and just stick with the 6x zoom ok for most things.macro best ive tried good sharp results.had a nikon coolpix but find this slightly better even if only for the 6x zoom. Problems: bit of trouble ...

Overall, I am very happy with this camera. The pictures are sharp, with bright natural colors, and excellent contrast. I've taken over a thousand pictures since I got the camera. Here is what I've found: SCENERY & SKYLINES Daytime photos are excellent. The 6x optical zoom is very nice. All my photos are in focus with no blurring. I don't remember any photos being out of focus. Of course, you must understand how auto-focus cameras work. You must point the camera at the subject you want in ...

I bought this camera as it went on sale for $399 from $499 (CDN). The 3.2MP and 6x optical zoom were definite selling features. Anyway I have to say that I am very impressed. It is my first digital camera but it outdoes any analog camera I have ever had. It works great outdoors and is OK indoors. 3.2 MP is more than enough. I suggest buying a big memory card (xD pic card) as at full resolution the images are +800K. Also buy NiMH rechargeables. The EVF works great outdoors and is a nice ...

I have an A201 that works perfectly so I purchased the S3000. Great pics!! Others have written about poor indoor shots; not mine! even without the flash they are crisp! Even the vids w/o the flash indoors are good! And at $211, I am loving this cam even more! Problems: After 6 days of continuous use, no problems yet!

My first digital. Bought it 3 days ago for $297. Already made about 300 shots. Good camera. Believe me, if u have your head and hands on their places, u WILL get almost any shot out of this camera, withou racking your brains on things like aperture and shutter speed. However it allows considerable set of manual settings. Problems: noise on iso 200.

The s3000 is a nice little unit, especially if you are seeking an SLR like format. Quality is good (build and images), the zoom is good and I personally like the manual flash pop-up as an easy way of supressing flashes in auto mode. There is aperature priority (but not shutter) in manual, although there is a "sports" shooting option which suggests a shutter priority. This is the second Fuji I have owned, and the camera operator interface is very straight forward compared to some competitors. ...
