Bought this camera as I liked the shape and fit to the hand as well as the longer than normal zoom. I should have taken more test shots in the store to check image quality. Far too many shots are not to my liking. Shutter lag is ridiculous on this camera. I always seem to end up with a picture of what came one second after I was viewing when pressing the shutter release. After a few months of frustration, I gave this to my kid to play with and bought a descent camera; Panasonic FZ-20. ...

I had been very pleased with my Fujifilm Finepix 1300 and decided about 2.5 years ago to "upgrade" to the S3000 Z. This time I had shopped around a little, but my good fortune with the Finepix 1300 meant that I was leaning towards a Fuji product. I perhaps should have done some more research on the particular model I selected. Initially, the construction and features impressed me; however I soon realized that the images I was getting, even with double the effective pixels, were not that much ...

You definitely get what you pay for. Poor quality photos, hardly considered a camera in low light. This camera had a once avid photo-taker not even wanting to take pictures. Pictures taken outside are somewhat acceptable. Indoor photos find walls and carpets in focus and the subject out of focus almost 100 percent of the time. Never again. Problems: see above

BAD CAMERA. This camera replaced my earlier fuji finepix model, which I loved. The S3000 cannot focus except in full daylight. No matter how I adjusted the setting, every picture was blurry. If the flash is used in any low light situations the picture ends up completely washed out. Manual settings do very little to alleviate this problem. I took approximately 10,000 pictures with my s2800 and they were all excellent. I have taken about 6000 pictures with the s3000, and have been almost ...

Well I've just sold my S3000 to buy a new camera but I have to say that the Fuji has been a fair good camera as a result.- My fisrt experiences in digital photography where with this camera and I have learn a lot, I first was like most of the coments here, focus problems, etc... But after 7 months of usage I learn how to takes pictures with the S3000.- Here a few pictures taken with the cam: http://photos23.flickr.com/28423244_1324154eda.jpg http://photos14.flickr.com/15411102_5083498382.jpg ...

Bought this when it first became available at military exchanges overseas (I work at a US Army base in Germany) a couple years ago. I was very pleased with the image quality and ease of use, but I was unsatisfied with the effectiveness of the pop-up flash indoors and don't understand why they even bother including such a tiny (16MB) xD picture card... i would've been willing to pay $50 more to have a 256MB card included in the box. Problems: I left it in a hot car and the power switch melted ...

Camera has a delay between when you shoot picture and when it captures image. The image captured on the viewfinder is not the image captured on the media. This works fine for landscape shots, but if there is any movement, you will not get the shot you want. Problems: Lag Time between shot and image capture

Same with me as Gerard. Moving up to S5000. I actually like the features of the 5000 over the 5100, more so the 3000. The 3000 was, to me, a snapshot camera that didn't even do that very well for what it's supossed to be. I feel the body was poorly constructed, I could feel the mold seams whenever I picked up the camera, wasn't impressed with the LCD viewfinder and I hated that I had to keep selecting the LCD everytime I turned on the camera. Very good pictures. Problems: Zoom assembly ...

I have to admit that it did not take too long for my Dis-Ease with this camera to set in.I could only take shots outside on a sunny day.My wife thought that I had developed some form of Tremens. All the rest of my shots were awful.A greater disappointment was the fact that there were no controls that I could adjust to make things better. The best thing this camera did was to propel me forward to greater things(FujiS5500)AHHHHH!BLISS. Problems: What can I say? Owning this camera is a problem or ...

Bought this camera (or more precisely, the 3000SE - 3.2mp) at Future Shop just before xmas for $275 Canadian, and they threw in a $180 Epson color printer/scanner/copier for free. Researched the camera for quite a long time on this and other websites, and the 6x zoom (and price) is what tipped it over the edge. I'm extremely happy with the picture quality (fairly surprised, actually, given some of the reviews). Even in low light, with and without the flash, as long as you can get the ...
