I really had to weigh up all the comprimises that we are required to make when buying a small digital camera. I own a 2MP ELPH and a 22MP SinarM back so realise what it's like image wise at both ends. I was however more than disapointed at the image quality on this 3/6MP camera. It really is a great little camera in so many ways such as ease of use and speed of shooting, but the over sharpening and terrible fringing in out of focus areas really left me flat after testing my new purchase. ...

It's a nice fast camera. Modern design. It is even faster than Minolta G500 I've had before. You notice this especially when taking shot to shot pictures (without continuous or burst modes). And it is really fast for viewing pictures you took, it flies ! Problems: I am disappointed in picture quality. While the picture quality is probably good for a 3.1 MP camera, it does not match my previous 5MP camera. Advertising F700 camera as a 6MP does not do it for me. I am thinking of ...

This camera really impressed me with its innovative features. The images it captures are more like film, with less of the "video" effect which plagues all digital cameras. It is fast and responsive; it takes the shot when you press the shutter. Its startup and shot to shot time are excellent. It is compact and light. Its power use is low. The included accessories are thoughtfully designed and work well. It is exceptionally easy to use. The endless discussion about the actual number of pixels ...

The F700 rating here is ruined by you!!! IT IS NOT A FORUM!!!!!! You can go to Fuji forum and ask the same question and you will get the answers. Here you destroy the camera ratiig. Now if one person (the first one who has the camera and rates it) gives five stars the result still will be 3 stars because it avereges. Now Othetr readers should go through this artificial forum ( there is Fuji Forum on DP review) and weed your not related to the rating question-messages and these will stay here ...

People I'm deciding wether to purchase the FUJI F700 or the CANON S50. I'm almost over the line with the F700. I just need to be further persuaded. Does anyone have an honest opinion here? What are the limitations of BOTH these Cameras. I like the F700 because of its superior Video recording. That's the only thing that stands out.

I have been shooting pictures on film\slide converting into digital using a Slide scanner for yonks. I started playing around with a 2mp Casio years ago, I have used 5mp Konica and lastly purchased the F700. I have searched this country (uk) pretty much every month since I saw it advertised - half a year ago. With a release date whch kept on being dropped!! EVENTUALLY & out of the blue I picked the camera up from a store in the east end of London. So I started oogling over the controls, large ...

This is my second Digital camera so I can consider myself a beginner. My other camera was an Olympus D-340L I bought in 1998 and I was hoping this would be a nice upgrade and in most ways it has been. It is modern therefore it is faster, has more memory, smaller, with better and easier to understand controls and has a movie mode which is better than my digital camcorder. The only problem I have with the F700 is the image quality. The colors do look deeper but the pictures are frustratingly ...

While shooting a movie clip, maybe it's possible to zoom using only the digital zoom. In this way no noise for the movement of the objective is produced and therefore there is no recording of the noise if you are shooting a movie with audio. I have a FinePix 30i and this is possible.

One of two reasons this camera has been delayed. 1, Its so good, it'll floor the competetion, so fuji has been paid off to delay 2, Its so bad, Fuji is embarassed. My view, I will still wait for the camera to be launched! My heart say wait, mind says we've been conned! Problems: yes cant buy one yet!
