The camera itself is easy to use, the on/off switch is a good idea. Nice blue LED's. Fits in your pocket. Menu system is good. Problems: Picture quality is not very good - particularly photo's taken inside with flash, the skin tones are awful. What a shame, because the camera is nicely made and has some good features but is badly let down by the end results

It is the second Fuji Digital Camera that I have. I love it very much. It is what I am looking for months. It is totally meet my basic requirements : 1. Small and compact (it is smaller and lighter than my old MX 1700). It is so compact, I can really bring it wherever and whenever I go. 2. 3X Optical and 2X digital (of course, higher is better, but the drawback is bulky, so eventually I gave up for the choice of those 8X or 10X DC). On the other hand, I hate camera without optical zoom. 3. ...

As I've mentioned on my webpage (www.mooncresta.co.uk) the camera is what all 40i owners have been waiting for! You just cannot fault anything on this camera. The battery lasts forever, the picture quality is excellent even at 2 megapixels, the menu is so easy to see (at last) it is so fast booting up and taking pictures, the movie mode is so much better than the 40i. I can't recommend it enough Problems: none so far

Good looking, well built compact camera - easy to use with good results. Problems: Some of the image quality is not too good under poor indoor lighting. On my old Fuji MX-1700 you could set the filenames to continuous. Can't seem to find a way of doing it on the F401. Every time I delete files on the SM Card the file name resets. Really annoying when you are coping everything into the same directory all the time.
