F31 user review - Nice Screen. - Fast Operation. - Mega battery Life (Might not have a battery. Perpetual power source inside? Had it for a week, charged twice. Hundreds of photos taken) - Very solid construction. - Still very compact. - Useful high ISO (except 3200, not useful). 'Plastic images' I has been pointed out by some other more astute reviewers that the f (f10, f30, f31, f40) range of cameras have a 'quirk' whereby images, even at ISO 100, appear plastic when viewed very close up on ...

I'm really disappointed with it! I have taken pictures over 1000 pictures with F31fd and I've reached a conclusion that its exposure system goes wrong too often. In my opinion, it should take a picture in an accurate exposure as it's a P&S camera but it always needs to adjust the exposure especially outdoors! So I usually set +0.3EV and sometimes +0.6 or even +1 ! I went to Swanage yesterday and I was setting the EV almost every time it was a really inconvenience by contrast, W50 which my ...

One-trick-pony it is. The F31 has a superb sensor, with very capable lens and image processing to match. Save for some purple-fringing (which can easily be removed in software) and hot-pixels at long exposures, there's very little to criticize. Its high-ISO performance is head and shoulders above any other non-Fuji digicam, in fact - up to ISO 800 it is neck to neck with some DSLR's. An amazing achievement by Fuji. Other noteworthy highs include great battery life, build quality, video mode ...

I had spent hours reading the reviews before I bought the F31. So I knew what to expect. I expected great ISO performance and I got it. I expected great battery life and I got it. I expected purple fringing and unfortunately I got that too. I wasn’t going to use auto mode so I didn‘t mind the complaints about its poor performance. But I didn’t expect it to be that bad. Auto mode uses unnecessarily high ISO which makes it absolutely absolutely useless. The same applies to most of the scene ...

I have to say that I am a bit disappointed with this camera. It ticks many of the boxes that a quality compact should. i.e. small size, good screen, easy to use. The noise performance is outstanding for a compact, this is the cameras trump card. The face detection works very well as long as the person is facing you. Where my disappointment lies is with the image quality which is only average and a lot poorer than I had been led to believe. At iso 100 it has distinctly poorer image quality ...
