I ve been looking for a small, decent low light conditions camera .. Finaly I faund it! I own it for 3 weeks and am sure i can give sam facts i ve experienced with it and first thing am gonna sey is that F31 beats other brands compact cameras with its great iso performance and exelent picture detail way,way ahead!( Dont get me wrong but some pictures i took with it at high ISO are comparable to some cheaper SLR cameras ) Advantages -Exelent pitrure quality at ISO 100 - 800,very good ISO ...

Flash ratio for indoors daylight shooting is phenominal! Beautifully balanced between ambient and flash. Excellent color rendition. Excellent IQ to ASA400. Best setting is to run in manual mode with ISO at Auto400. Great little p/s for casual events and one of the best indoor p/s you will find. On the critical side it tries to be too serious a camera with some rather frivelous (for this category p/s) features such as Av, Tv (though I do like the easy to access exp comp), and custom white ...

I am a user of some experience and when I buy a camera I do my research, then I do some more research, and then some more. I need to be absolutely sure what I'm buying will do what I want without any significant problems. So I researched this camera like mad before I bought it. Having owned it now for a month and having taken almost a thousand pictures in varying situations & conditions, I feel I can now comment accurately. I will be brief. Construction - Excellent. It's all metal and is very ...

I'm really disappointed with it! I have taken pictures over 1000 pictures with F31fd and I've reached a conclusion that its exposure system goes wrong too often. In my opinion, it should take a picture in an accurate exposure as it's a P&S camera but it always needs to adjust the exposure especially outdoors! So I usually set +0.3EV and sometimes +0.6 or even +1 ! I went to Swanage yesterday and I was setting the EV almost every time it was a really inconvenience by contrast, W50 which my ...

The best mini camera if using SD memory. I have F30 and F31, they are almost the same. Good: 1. With white balance of manual mode, color can be exactly correct under any light. 2. With function of aperture priority / shutter priority, wholly control basic quality of picture. 3. Almost no image-noise in ISO 400,a few image-noise in ISO 800. 4. ISO 3200 is really helpful in dark situation, although image-noise is obvious. 5. Battery is durable. Bad: XD memory in this camera is the most stupid ...

One-trick-pony it is. The F31 has a superb sensor, with very capable lens and image processing to match. Save for some purple-fringing (which can easily be removed in software) and hot-pixels at long exposures, there's very little to criticize. Its high-ISO performance is head and shoulders above any other non-Fuji digicam, in fact - up to ISO 800 it is neck to neck with some DSLR's. An amazing achievement by Fuji. Other noteworthy highs include great battery life, build quality, video mode ...

Replaced a broken Panasonic FX7. The F31 is a far superior camera, ISO performance and low light abilities on a different planet. The much vaunted optical image stabalisation on the fx7 is a nice feature but cannot hold a candle to the real world usability of the F31's high ISO settings. Another bonus is the battery life, I filled a 1 gig card over a 2 week period on holiday and it was still showing full charge. Problems: Over exposes a little. Uses only XD cards, more expensive and slower. C ...

Excellent performer. Very good low light camera. High ISO performance is excellent. I've been a Canon fan for 25 years; this is my first non-Canon digital camera. I wish it had a live histogram but metering seems very good. Outdoor performance is very good, though image quality is a little below my Canon S80's in good light (much better than S80 is low light.) Auto ISO 400/800 is a nice feature. LCD gain up in strong lighting is a plus. I don't need RAW, so don't miss it. Xd card format is ...

Superb camera for image quality slightly spoiled by a couple of things: Can't adjust in-camera sharpening No RAW Difficult lens to clean Silly memory card format No viewfinder I still love it though, fantastic high ISO quality for a compact and crisp, sharp output at the lower ISO's, very cheap Problems: Only those above, I'd still buy it again
