Opinion: the image quality on this P/S camera is the best that i have EVER seen...
last month i went to a Native American Pow Wow, in Brooklyn NY , and i took about 200 pictures ...looking at a picture through the LCD screen tells me nothing ... when i printed out the pictures, i said to myself,it can't get any better than this .. the colors just jump out of every picture ..!!! this little camera makes me proud ... most of my co-workers want one, but i told them this camera has been discontinued ... for now on, the only kind of camera that i will ever buy, is the one that has recieved an award or two...

Problems: none...

Opinion: Very nice cam overall. The sharpest pictures I've ever seen on any compact camera and ISO 1600 can put some DSLR to shame.

Very high quality construction, mostly metal and stainless steel.

Problems: It misses the image stabilization. As for face detection, I couldn't care less.

Strong purple fringing in high contrast situations.

If only Fuji could reduce the amount of pixels to 6 or 8MP to their F50fd and F100fd, these would beat the F30 and F31fd. Especially the F100fd with it's 5x zoom and 28mm wide angle lens. Oh well...

Opinion: When you consider the size of the sensor, this point & shoot camera is really good! I bought one for my wife and one for my son about 18 months ago. It is very easy to use and produces very nice images with the right situations (as with most cameras). Yes, there is noise at high ISO's. For the size of this sensor, it performs extremely well, and it allows you to capture the image.
I would rate the image quality a 4.75, which rounds up to a 5.
The camera does not have image stabilization, but I don't consider this a problem. I feel you can achieve a sharper image with image stabilization off, as long as you can keep the camera steady and shoot at a proper speed.

Problems: none

Opinion: i Would say it is 1 of the best compact camera because :

1. High ISO upto 3200 but too much Noise
2. Manual settings
3. Shutter pirority upto 15 Sec.
4. Speed shutter of 1/2000 Sec
5. Photo with Falsh & one without Flash

Problems: 1. In High ISO the picture pixel is not good
It is best to be set on ISO 400 with Flash or without Fash always.
2. It does not have ISO 50, which is good for sunlight

Opinion: This is my first digital camera and I am very impressed. It offers a great deal of flexibility (with aperture and exposure priority) but always delivers beautiful looking pictures.

I got the underwater kit which works very well.

Battery life is amazing.

Problems: This was a great first camera. Now that I'm hooked I want more from my camera.

It's impossible to make nice panoramas because I can't fix the exposure settings from one shot to another. The same limitation prevents me from doing time-lapse shots.

The proprietary memory card is a pain.

Opinion: The "Super CCD" sensor in this camera attempts to substitute for "image stablization" for low-light work --- it's only partially successful, above iso 400 the product of noise and filtering doesn't look so hot. You can get "usable" pics, in the sense that they convey the essense of the moment but aren't all that pleasant to look at.

That said, at 400 (nothing to sneeze at) and below, it's a fine camera with some neat tricks: I like the "take one with flash and one without" mode, for example. It's pretty fast, makes nice pics in good light. I was stunned by the battery life ... I was never caught out with a dead battery, even paying little attention to it.

Opinion: Great compact camera: excellent resolution up to ISO 400 (best compact digicam ever used even above). Simple and flexible enough for snapshots. Mine has been recently stolen and I need another one for my personal shots...

Problems: 1) I nearly always shoot with exposure corrected to -2/3EV.
2) Someone stole it from my pocket at a lounge bar....

Opinion: The best mini camera if using SD memory.

Good:
1. With white balance of manual mode, Color can be exactly correct under any light.
2. With function of aperture priority / shutter priority, wholly control basic quality of picture.
3. Almost no image-noise in ISO 400,a few image-noise in ISO 800.
4. ISO 3200 is really helpful in dark situation, although image-noise is obvious.
5. Battery is durable.

Bad:
XD memory in this camera is the most stupid design , I really hate that.

Problems: No.
