I bought the A101 to dip my toe into digital photography, and have found it extremely easy to use, packed full of fun features, but with one MAJOR gripe (See below). Problems: The main problem I've encountered has been strange white circles appearing on indoor images taken with the flash in rooms with large reflective surfaces (e.g. big mirror, big white wall, window). I have read around a few forums to see if there is a solution, and it seems like quite a common problem, with 2 theroies as ...

I've searched a longtime for finding a camera around € 300. It's the only 2 Megapixel I found in this pricecategory and the pictures are really good. The flash indeed doesn't reach far but when the person/object is within 4 metres there isn't a problem. Unlike the HP photosmart 612 I compared the photos with, you don't see pixels on diagonal objects in the background (like a branch of a tree) and that's nice. It is a light and small camera, ideal for beginners. The digital zoom however is ...

A very fun digicam for a starter or someone who juz want a FEEL of digital photography. Basic functions are there, easy to operate and light to carry along. To make full use of it I'd suggest adding a higher MB memory card so you can dump your auto camera and take more high-res's with this one. Being a user of SLR cams I feel sometimes it's easier to use the viewfinder than looking at the LCD screen...but its up to you. Also, glad that there's this SLOW SYNC FLASH function...already sets it ...

What can i say. a digital cam that can take still photo's, a video cam, and a web cam all together in one package, under 300 bucks (Canadain). The A101 is the best cam out there that you will find for your money. This camera has only 1.3 mega pixels but some of the pictures i have taken by the camera looks alot better than 2.3 mega pixels dig camera. A nice feature of the camera is its video recording. this cam unlike many other cams, can take up to 20 sec of video at a time. larger ...

After a lot of research I purchased the Finepix A101 and so far I'm very impressed! The picture quality is great considering the camera cost under $200. The included memory is decent but if you want to take more than 15 pictures at high resolution you need to buy more memory. The included features are few but what is included is useful and the camera is very easy to use. Definitely a good novice camera. Problems: Battery life with the included alkaline batteries was a joke. After about two ...

As already posted by everyone it is a great all round camera. What more could you want, an inexpensive, simple to use camera that takes great quality pictures. Has a lot of features for a base model camera. You guys from the USA are lucky, the camera retails for £159 in the UK (US$225) Problems: I brought the camera not only for use as a digital camera but also a webcam. When I finally got the software up a running I was very disappointed with the image quality when using it as a webcam. The ...

Decent camera for the money. Problems: With Windows XP, to install the driver update, you have to use the CheckOut (Shift+C) feature of WinZip and double-click the file that comes up in the checkout folder.

My 2nd digital camera, 1st was cheap Polaroid 640SE. Polaroid lacked in-focus and detail which is what this camera gives. Good camera for $179. Small, light, convenient, durable. Macro feature a plus. Taken over 100 photos so far. Problems: Miss the self timer button on the cheap Polaroid. Must turn screen on and press 2 menu options to get self timer. Eats batteries in under 50 photos not using flash or screen much at all, probably a common complaint of screen digitals. Polaroid got 300! Low ...

Excellent Camera. Being a Graphic designer, I need one for work. The price is ok, and the image quality is great. I don't have to adjust any elements of the digtal image very much (unlike with other cameras). The installation was really easy, and I didn't need to install the accompanying software. I'm happy with the fact that I do have a choice. I could copy and erase straight from the camera through my usb connection. Exactly what I wanted. Problems: Only when trying to video capture, I find ...
