Opinion: great camera. my old canon620 can't hold a candle to this one.
Impressive image quality and fantastic colour saturation. i had very little to work on in my digital darkroom and found the 6 megapixel setting at fine gave me the best resolution.
i could noy fault the printouts at A4 and they looked even better than a lot of 4 megapixel camera photos that i compared them with.
Any owner will not be disapointed with this little baby!

Opinion: easy to operate for any SLR person. controls easy to find and use. shutter lag annoying. at 6 mgb fine and 1,000 SS on S priority considerable noise, but easy to alleviate with 'de-speckle'. zoom decent and okay on speed, yet not great. battery life good (50 pics with replay, hi resolution). EVF takes some getting used to. cover for usb, a/c power cheap and will eventually break off if one is not super-careful. picture quality is very, very, very good...easy comparison (better) to Rebel 2000 or AE-1 Prog. uploads to computer easy and fairly quick.
shutter lag makes taking pics for action shots difficult as you msut learn to anticipate (i take pics of pow-wow dancers)
good buy for the money. not displeased. am also waiting delivery of 995.
