Purchased in June 2001, I've taken over 6000 images. In the beginning this was the best digital I've ever had, images were simply superb, and overall a very easy camera to use, packed full of features. Battery life pretty good, 100 pics easily obtained on a 5 hour full charge. Superb macro shots, and good zoom. Excellent prints obtained at A4 size. Overall very happy, until problems started.... Problems: After almost a year picture quality degraded, with black lines very faint at first on ...

I have used the camera now for over 15 months and am still astonished by the quality of the images which I find are far superior to my Canon AE1 bodies with marque lenses. Major disappointment though in the handling, the body is far too slippery, the shutter release at the wrong angle and too close to the edge of the camera for even small hands. Keeping it steady is not easy even though I often use a chest pod. The need to continually move the camera away from my eye (I invariably use the ...

Definately a good point and click camera. After 6 months of use my camera is still going strong, for any serious use I recommend buying a larger memory card and a spare battery or two. For anyone looking for a fairly simple, high end point and click camera that has the option for extra lenses (I just picked up a wide angle, telephoto and closeup lens set from Tiffen) I would definately recommend this camera. Problems: I carry my camera in a small case and have found that it's worth setting ...

First digital camera and bought after much research. Camera bought in Sydney just proir to new 601Z so this was run out model. Takes fantastic pics and the hot-synch cradle makes for easy pic transfers. The night shots with the flash are OK but a stronger flash would have been nice. Read a lot about 'red-eye' problem and found that feature didn't help much. Also noticed 'dead pixel' in LCD. has anyone else had this problem? Problems: The 'dead pixel' was reported to the distributer but have ...

This is my 3rd Fuji and the best yet. I find that the flash is quite inadequate and the addition of at least a coaxial socket would be a marked advantage. Image quality is exdellent, and that's what matters. Problems: Flimsy pop-up flashgun which may be easily damaged.

It has rather bad autofocus feature -- does focus often on the background instead of the forground object, and refuses to focus in even not so dark lighting conditions. Manual focus is rather useless because there's no distance figures on the display (and you think you can see the sharpness on such small LCD?). No manual control of the exposition (e.g. impossible to take picture of the full Moon -- you'll have just a bright spot) ...JFYI That's all! Other than that, IT'S A REALLY PERFECT ...

poor performance in corners of image great colour reproduction great design bought as a point and shoot and it delivers Problems: When I take a pic (3megapixel fine) the counter shows two images taken (eg-102 to 100 on a 128mg card) and then resets to show just one image taken (eg-102 to 101). Does it on a 16mg, 32mg and 64mg card also. Has anyone else had this show up and is it normal?

I have had the 6800 now for 1 year. I have taken many hundreds of pictures, and never a failure. Image quality is excellent, although some adjustment in brightness and contrast may be necessary in Photoshop, or similar programme. The built in LCD viewer is amost useless in bright sunlight, but in the shade it will provide enough detail to see if the picture is OK. Its small size and light weight means I have the camera always with me to catch those elusive shots. On "Auto", it is idiot proof, ...
