I bought the 6800Z in Singapore last week(April 2001) for S$1250 plus S$100 for 64MB, at the infamous Sim Lim Towers. The photos in 3MB mode have well and truly exceeded my expectations for an ultra compact digicam. Absolutely Fabulous. After 2 months of research, I believe there is no real peer to the 6800z.
