I owned a olympus d-460, FP 4700z, FP 4800z, and now own Olympus c3040 and a FP 6800z. I love the 6800 for its features, compactness, construction, quality and ease of use. If you like gadgets, youll love this camera. Camera has some stong point when it comes to its features, its images come out great and with some practice youll take great night images all the time, using the manual mode. Images during the day will always be more clear and colorful than the olympus but not as colorful as ...

SImple to use and is great for social occasions becoz of its friendly appearance.. ppl are not afraid of it as opposed to a d-SLR or the canon G2. Battery lifespan wif LCD is very short.. but the size of the LCD is quite good.. too bad it doesnt work very well under high glare. Really bad metering and focusing under lowlight is horrendous. Great for daytime shooting. Problems: Very bad metering especially in lowlight or overcast condition.

I bought a finepix 6800 on 12/24/01, two weeks later, the lens cap stuck in the closed position. After receiving a different one from Ciruit City- less than one week later the lens got stuck in the out position along with an inoperable smartmedia compartment failure. Wow! Fuji should be ashamed! This camera does produce excellent photos, easy to use, and a great conversation piece. But looks can be decieving. Read reviews before you buy. Unlike Problems: Poor construction.

Though I have limited experience with Digital cameras my comparison between the Fugi 6800 and the Sony Mavica CD300 showed a huge difference in image quality, the Fuji being much sharper/detailed.

My first digital camera was a FinePix 4700Z. I was really pleased with the image quality. Sadly, the 4700Z stopped working after 13 months (completely dead, no sign of life, replaced batteries, smartmedia, etc, no luck). I went to the store and bought a new camera, this time the FinePix 6800Z, partly due to the fact that I wanted to use my SmartMedia cards, but also partly because I thought it would be better than the 4700Z. I was mistaken. The picture quality at wide angle is terrible! The ...

Fujifilm have cornered the consumer market in producing pretty cameras that also take mighty good pics. The FP6800 is no exception and even at the 1MB setting, image quality is superb. Having started with the 4700, I had to fumble around for the manual flash button position, but much remains familiar. That's no bad thing, as the 4700 is a very hard act to follow! The movie setting performs well for short clips. Cosmetically, a work of art and technically, a very competent instrument. Prob ...

Wow! I love this camera! Was worried about the price until I saw pricgrabbers.com mentioned in another review. Thru this site the camera cost $457 and it came in 4 days reg Fed Ex. This camera takes excellent pics and prints outs terrific 8x10 of my grandchild. I have e-mailed thumbprints to relatives and they commented on the photos excellent quality. The fuji is easy to use and the cradle makes it a snap to recharge the batteries or view pics on my computer and print them. There are many ...
