What a great little camera! I have had a Canon Ixus for almost a year , but bought the Fuji yesterday. Both cameras have 2.1 mp, but the pictures of the Fuji are much and much clearer and sharper! The 6x zoom is fabulous! Even the macro pictures are perfect! Both cameras can focus in macro from a distance of 10 cm, but the fuji can use the zoom from 10 cm and can get closer! I am very pleased with this decision and would never want to trade it back for the canon, never! Battery life is very ...

The Silver Marvel is what I call this neat little unit. I won't be redundant and repeat all the accolades being reaped on this camera (which I agree with). From my own personal sampling of numerous comparable models, this is BY FAR the best one in it's price range considering picture quality, zoom capability and nifty movie mode. The only fault seems to be the EVF/low light problem so often mentioned by other reviewers. But, the EVF offers other benefits that help offset this shortcoming ...

I've used the 2800Z now for over a month and I'm still convinced that this was the best camera I could have bought for the price. The 6x zoom is just great and probably the main reason why I like this camera so much. I wouldn't want to live with a camera with less zoom anymore and there's no (or hardly any?) competitor with the same feature for a comparable price. The qualiity of the images produced is very good and the 1600x1200 resolution is okay for someone like me who mainly views the ...

very good digicam for that value. I´m surprised what this pretty camera is able to take pictures. The Image-quality is outstanding for a 2MP - cam. Problems: focus at low light might be better.

I bought this camera because of all of the greate reviews. Although the pictures may be fine, I couldn't get over the problems I encountered withthe EVF and the LCD when shooting pictures indoors. They were both completely black. If you are taking pictures outdoors this may be the camera for you. However, if you want to ake pictures of your children a bithday parties, show, make sure that they a lighted with a light as birigt as the sun or else you will never be able to see them through ...

Going on my third digital camera. This was an upgrade for my three year old Kodak DC265. Was I pleased with both the value of the camera, and the faetures you get with it. Was even more pleased at the results. Problems: LCD viewfinder is difficult to see in the dark. I would have wished Fuji would have included the accessory power pack as standard - in the box offering.

Came down to the Fuji 2800 and the Canon A40 - bought both and returned the Canon immediately. The image quality on the 2800 is much better from what I can tell. I took alot of indoor shots and the A40 pictures came out unfocused while the 2800 shots came out clear. While the A40 does have TV-out, more manual options, better video quality, the 2800 image quality was what convinced me - after all, what are all the bells and whistles if the basic stuff doesn't even work well. The EVF/LCD ...

This is my second digital camera, my first was a Minolta 2300, it was a toy compared to this. I paid £300 pounds for the Fuji in Tenerife and it's worth every penny. Problems: None

This is my 3 DC, the last one was a fujifilm DX-10 (.85 Mpix). The reason I went with this camera was because the old Fuji never let me down and of course 6X zoom. I only need a camera for point and shoot I am NOT nor am I trying to be a pro. If you want a camera to take on vacation or for B-days this is an AWESOME camera. Image quality is GREAT. Problems: EVF dim in low light, image quality suffers the more zoom is increased (probably due to the shakes; not the camera), plastic frame, ...
