Great outdoor pix's. I have had mine now since 5/03. Outside, under trying conditions, the shots were very clear and useable requring little touch up after the fact. Indoors - the viewfinder and back screen is useless. Remember, it is a 2.0 Megapixal camera. Problems: I have a MX-1200. When the vard is removed - the numbers of the pictures continue to advance. The Finepix 2800 resets back to "one" Unless you use the Finepix's software, you could overwrite other downloaded pictures. Batt ...

It is now 2004 and as far as Fuji is concerned the 2800z is ancient history. I also have an MX600z which is about the slowest darned cam you can use. It has an optical veiwfinder and takes fine pics in dark conditions. So does the 2800 but the evf makes it difficult. Outdoors, however you can't beat it! The continuous mode is good, but not great. Macro is acceptable. It will oversaturate in some conditions. My indoor shots have been alright, but as the manual suggests, focus on somethig ...

Really pleased with this new purchase. I got this model for $200.00 and Im glad I chose this one. Its easy to use and the pictures are great. I am a beginner and this camera was wonderfull for breaking me in. I primarly use it to take pictures of art to send to clients. I really think I got a great deal. Problems: The same as everyone else, really difficult to see anything with twilight and dark times, however, the pics come out fine if you guessed correctly. This would be my only complaint ...

Good picture quailty, easy to use and a great zoom range for a point and shoot camera at this price. I had mine a year and a bit and had no problems despite my kids dropping it onto grass a couple of times. Problems: The cube shape makes the 2800 a bit bulky for a point and shoot camera, hardly a pocket camera, but that is the price of having a 6x lens I suppose. Photographers used to having some control over their pictures, such as aperture and shutter speed, will miss the lack of user ...

At first glance, not a bad deal on sale. Outdoor pictures were good, build was ok, and I could hold it with my big paws. Unfortunately, I then tried it indoors.... Oh, Mama, what a flop! Horrible pictures, blurred images, terrible color. I won't even mention the absolutely dismal pics in fluorescent lights....Add a nuclear flash and you MAY get a decent pic. LOL I bought this to hold me over until I got my new SLR, but turned it back in for refund. Problems: Don't buy if you use it indoors, ...

My 2800Z arrived yesterday morning. I think it's a brilliant camera and it pains me that I'm about to send it back for a refund. Picture quality is excellent, and the 6x optical zoom is amazing: There are several computers across the room from where I am sitting, and I can just make out the serial number labels on them from here. Taking a picture at 6x zoom with the Fuji then displaying it on my computer screen, I can actually read the serial numbers! I had read about problems with the ...

My first camera and I must say for something so simple it sure does take incredible pictures. If you're looking for a nice point and shoot camera and don't care for messing w/ the manual settings then this is one camera I highly recommend. The colors and details are accurately reproduced. Problems: The EVF is completely USELESS in low light. Plus the delay when you actually press the button to when the cam actually takes a pic can be frustrating (typically half a second). I tried taking a ...

After my Ricoh RDC-5300 2,3M went dead/broke - this is my second camera. Have been using it for 2 months now, more than 500 pictues shot. About the problems discussed here: - use the viewfinder in dark or bright lite (it's better and easier to use than the display anyway); - do not zoom all the way (6x) in dark situations. Pictures with this 2.0M are better than with my Ricoh 2,3M. Flash is much better, speed (store/play) is better, battery life is very good, low weight, 6x zoom is very good, ...
