My wife and I have the 2600 for a week now, and we are extremely pleased with this camera. My wife uses an Olympus 3030 at her work, and I use a Nikon N80 SLR for family photo. We want a compact digital camera to carry with us often and to quickly share moments captured with family and friends over the web. The image generated by the 2600 has excellent resolution with vivid and natural color. The lens is very sharp and contrasty, unlike the soft Nikon 775's. Good white balance settings, ...

Batteries last forever. Comes with rechargable NiMH batteries. I've shot about 60 pictures at 2.1 Mpixels res, most using flash and LCD display and the batteries are still charged. How much I do not know since there is no charge indicator. The flash is excellant out to about 10 ft, rapidly becoming inadequate at greater distance. I'll admit it; I'm a tight wad... But when I saw this camera for $300, I was actually willing to fork over the bucks... It's a great little camera. Got it today from Gateway accessory store ($260 - $20 couple, free shipping). Much, much thicker then anticipated and feels very plasticky... but for the money nothing beats it. Takes very good picture too, and is fairly easy to use. Lens aperture a bit weak, but nonetheless adequate as a point and shoot. Still prefer the Digital Elph though (more expensive). Nonetheless, if your budget is at $250 this is probably your best bet. Problems: Extremely poor focusing performance in low light ...

Never handled a digital camera before purchasing one 10-2-01. Within an hour I was able to use the FujiFilm 2600Z properly and download photos on my PC with ease. FujiFilm COULD have thrown in a camera case. A major modification I would suggest (for all digital camera manufacturers) is to install a raised rubber edge around the LCD for protection.

after 1 week of use i can say this camera is a gem,, small but thick. I find the optical viewer small and flash weak other than that it is great real good value for a 2 meg camera with 3 times opt. zoom Problems: no problems

Just got it few days ago at ecost.com; tripped and SMACKED it against marble floor by accident, but works great!! CLEAR picture, all features fantastic! :) Very small too, although a bit thick. Problems: NONE!
